This app is pretty useless. First- it's obviously built for iOS as there's no action for the "back" button nor any way to exit the app. Next- there's no way of knowing that it's working or if it's stuck- I had to "close" and restart the app three times to get it to catch up with the performance. Another annoyance is the app's auto-dimming "feature". This is where the app needs user options (there are no settings). I had to turn up my brightness to an annoying level just so the screen was readable when the app would force my screen to dim. Until I see these shortfalls fixed, I will suggest to my local symphony to stop getting sponsors for Octava. It isn't worth using it if it can't keep up with the performance. It's distracting to make sure that it's working the way it's supposed to. I would suggest not using this app and just listen to the music.
