The Chopping Block is Chicago's largest recreational cooking school with two
locations, seven kitchens and over 12,000 square feet of cooking and retail
space. Our comfortable, yet state-of- the-art facilities and equipment provide the
perfect learning environment for home cooks. The Chopping Block's classes and
private events are held in specially designed classrooms, equipped with
complete cooking stations. Designed to replicate an ideal home kitchen, our
kitchens are outfitted with ovens, cooktops, appliances, cookware and tools our
students may find in their own kitchens.
We are passionate about cooking at The Chopping Block. From the classes we
develop each month to the products we select in order to support that same
curriculum, it’s important that our staff loves what we do. Our “chefstructors” and
culinary staff share their enthusiasm with our students through teaching cooking
tips and tricks and demonstrating how certain tools and ingredients can make life
easier in the kitchen.
