In certain contexts such as higher education, scientific calculators have been superseded by graphing calculators, which offer a superset of scientific calculator functionality along with the ability to graph input data and write and store programs for the device. There is also some overlap with the financial calculator market.
Modern scientific calculators generally have many more features than a standard four or five-function calculator, and the feature set differs between manufacturers and models; however, the defining features of a scientific calculator include:
floating point arithmetic
logarithmic functions, using both base 10 and base e
trigonometric functions (some including hyperbolic trigonometry)
exponential functions and roots beyond the square root
quick access to constants such as pi and e
In addition, high-end scientific calculators will include:
hexadecimal, binary, and octal calculations, including basic Boolean math
statistics and probability calculations
programmability — see Programmable calculator
conversion of units
While most scientific models have traditionally used a single-line display similar to traditional pocket calculators, many of them have at the very least more digits (10 to 12), sometimes with extra digits for the floating point exponent. A few have multi-line displays, with some recent models from Hewlett-Packard, Texas Instruments, Casio, Sharp, and Canon using dot matrix displays similar to those found on graphing calculators.

Quran Index is a free android application that can be used to search the entire Holy Quran in multiple languages, which can be downloaded for free. It supports a various ways to search the Holy Quran, which makes it very easy to lookup the desired Quranic verses. The default translation is in English by Mohammed Marmaduke Pickthall and there are a number of other translations available for free download, which can easily be added to the QuranIndex application.
1- Support for multiple languages. The translations can easily be downloaded from the application. Once downloaded the translation will appear in the "Translation" menu in settings for selection.
2- Search for words and phrases in the entire Holy Quran or in chapters
3- Use boolean operators (AND/OR/NOT) to group words in the search query to narrow down search.
4- View individual or a range of chapters and verses
5- Open verses to view Arabic and chapter details
6- Ability to remove downloaded translations
7- Zoom in/out text for accessibility
8- Save search queries
9- Keyword highlighting
The free version supports tranlations in the following languages:

sensor capabilities your smartphone or tablet have.
You can watch graphs of the main sensors in real time, except for
video, microphones and radio signals. You can log data to file
or stream data to a computer. The app is bundled with a a Matlab
interface which allows for on-line processing and filtering for
prototyping and demo purposes.
The first versions of this app was developed in collaboration
with HiQ (hiq.se), funded by a SAAB award in the name of former
CEO Åke Svensson.
The second version of this app, featuring a considerable rewrite
of the code base as well as extended functionality and Matlab
support, was developed by Gustaf Hendeby as part of introducing
the app as part of a lab in the Sensor Fusion course at
University of Linköping the spring of 2013.
Pleasant sensor exploration, wishes

You can control your robot if you tilt your phone.
This app is written by rosjava, which is developed by Willow Garage and Google. It publishes cmd_vel (geometry_msgs/Twist) as velocity of roomba or PR2.
For using as App, you must install .app and .installed files on your robot side.
Install App package by
$ svn checkout https://otl-ros-pkg.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/otl_android
Please add your .installed file, for example turtlebot_apps.installed of turtlebot_bringup package.

You can access to source code from
- /cmd_vel (geometry_msgs/Twist) velocity for mobile robot. when you tilt your device, this will be published
- /roomba/clean (std_msgs/Bool) start or stop cleaning
- /roomba/dock (std_msgs/Bool) start docking
It can show ROS output messages (/rosout_agg (rosgraph_msgs/Log)).
