Was excellent until recently when the "nearby" started showing me matches that look incredible for me, but live many continents away... please only show me people in North America if you must broaden my horizon... unless you pay my expenses to travel abroad to meet these "matches" The developer replied and told me that it is people on vacation. I DOUBT THAT PEOPLE ARE COMING TO MY SMALL FARM TOWN FROM ISRAEL, CHINA AND AUSTRALIA FOR F*#KING VACATION.

Probably my favorite of the free dating apps. The messaging system, and everything about it is quite useful. Be sure to change settings to get what you want and not talk to inactive members. But one thing to take note of. Women will get too much messages while men will barely get any.

This app is easy to use, but some of the features that they charge for, should be free. Profiles should be deleted for inactivity after a year. You can tell that people got bored or disillusioned by the app, by how many have not been on it in over a year and how few new profiles there are. Fakes are obvious, too.

I've been using this app and I love it, only just recently when I reactivated my account, I ran into troubles. Logging in using a PC is a mission, it woild tell me that my info was incorrect then when logging into my account using the app I find out that my account has been suspended due to "terms of violation" when I haven't violated any terms, half my profile hasn't even been filled out yet and I haven't messaged anyone. No one gets back to me and I find this quite frustrating. The moderators aren't helpful either.

I've been on OKC off and on for almost 4 years, and I've met a grand total of 2 people in person, only one of whom was a decent person. I've also been stood up numerous times. Now of a sudden, the app stops at the log-in screen and refuses to go any further. I'm done with this.

This will show you people who are near you at the moment, based on their phone's GPS location. So you may be seeing people who are on vacation near you!

If you continue to see an error, please write to support@okcupid.com ATTN LM Look it seems that the only good looking women are all scammers and fake from outside the country and so far the real ones are nasty ugly. This is the truth of the matter. ON POF at least 85% R real. Been on POF 4 five months and have smashed about 30 so far. Good luck gays and girls.
Mostly a good port of the desktop functionality. Could do with some slight upgrade on when messages get saved. If you don't go back to the main message page after writing part of a message, say you instead exit the app entirely, anything you wrote in an unsent message will be lost to the mists of time.
This app has really gone downhill. Constantly getting time-outs when trying to reply to messages. "we didn't receive delivery receipt of your message" or "sorry the network is really slow at the moment" It's not my end as I'm on 119mbs

When I do I can barely send a message. Recently I messaged someone and the app sent the person three times. A lot of bugs that need to be repaired
App was great though the SSL error won't go away. I'm pretty sure I have the updated version. I also tried clearing data, restarting and stuff, as well looking thru data settings and all.. Still won't work. :'( What to do? Thanks.

The questions really are a unique way of helping sort through dates. I would give it a try but don't avoid the questions they are what makes this app unique
Not too good. They basically FORCE you to pay for any features. Do you enjoy looking and not being able to start a conversation? Well this is the app for you! Because after saying 3 things to a potential love interest, YOU'RE OUT STORAGE. No worries, you can pay to see who likes you, like at all. In hopes they have the storage to message you anyways.

The quick search still matches me with men only when I am clearly bi sexual..And they took away the search tab for "whos new" but stupidly left the search tab for "enemy". seriously WHOS RUINING THIS... Over half the people here are either fake or not logged on in years!.. This site SUCKS NOW. It was much better before they started changing it.

Thanks for your feedback and I will be sure to relay your concerns! If you like sites that pair you with someone based on a literal question sheet this is the app for you. Now for the real review, like tinder inregards to practically everyone being on there high horse, but wait! There's more! Now there is a Pay wall, delayed messaging, and subscriptions. Also note the gender division, with female profiles getting more freebies than the male account holders. Literally a system designed to match based on common answers, and those who think there better than others. Does it work? Possibly but the last 19folks I ran into were literally either A. Cat fish, or B. Literal smoke n mirrors about what they believe, etc..

It shows that you have way more likes than you actually do before you pay. It showed that I have a full page of likes. Once I payed there was only one real person and two fake profiles. I want my money back immediately. It's an outright scam!

It defaults to your most worthless asset: quickmatch (double take?). Site/app is loaded with Cam girls, porn bots and hook-up dating site advertising bots (links often take you to hardcore porn hook-up sites). There are even ads as games that hijack your session for timed periods. Good lord, this app is utter rubbish. Save yourself the trouble and just use the web version. Now I remember why I left this damned site to begin with.

We try to find mutual matches, so if you're outside a person's preferences, you may not see them in match results. Is this the issue? I'm afraid this is how this works, but if you have questions please write in: https://www.okcupid.com/help/contact-us Dear OKC Admins, The operation is REALLY SLOW & it's always EXTREMELY TIME CONSUMING for messages or profiles to get loaded. Kindly work on that & help the app work swifter. Rest is all great. Keep it up & implement the relevant speed improvement.
Yawn. Even In a new state finding friends is close to impossible. The men are the same nasty, sexual weirdos, no matter what state you're in. I don't see this as being the best dating app at all. I wish there was a site for real verified users and not out of country people who hit on you. Oh well.

Interface seems OK - more intuitive than the web - but it stalls too much. I've only been using it for a day and I keep getting these alerts that OKC is slow due to high traffic. So the app freezes and spins a lot,and on occasion an alert pops up about there being lots of people using it.

They call it free, But then if you don't pay them, the system makes absolutely sure to match you with ANYONE whose profile is opposite to your needs and desires. One out of about 25 will look promising, but you read the questions and you wind up hiding profiles only to find it putting hidden profiles right back in "high match percentage", rather than being hidden. It also has too many clown questions. Some so prying as to be voyeuristic!

This app wasn't working for a whole month, and then all the sudden out of nowhere I get the message my account was suspended for violation which is outrageous! I want you guys to fix this! I did absolutely nothing and hardly even use it. So I don't know what is going on. I am rewriting this feedback and expect Someone to contact me or I'll press charges!
Horrible app. Full of profiles of "high class call girls" (complete with rates and timings) and profiles with either guys' names and girls' picture or vice versa. Would not recommend even to my worst enemy.

I will change my rating when you all get rid of the annoying full screen ads. There is literally a class set up by Google that tackles how to advertise to people. I respect that you need money, but there are better ways to handle advertising.

Whatever, the app sucked anyways and there is nothing but transgender people and underage kids on here with a few speckles of normal people who almost immediately always deactivate their accounts.

There is no communication and it doesn't even log in. Customer Support is there to support customer not just say we read your comment. When you blocking an account have decency to say why?. Looks like all you guys care is to take the money and that's it. Keep it up looks like you are at the end or your rope and soon will be forgotten.
Dev team needs work. The recent updates make messages send two or three times. Messaging is way too slow and laggy. General premise and app can work well, met some cool people on here despite glitches.

If you continue to see an error, please write to support@okcupid.com ATTN LM Match questions are difficult to manage on mobile and don't have the same functions as the desktop site. Need an option to delete a question entirely regardless of if I still have to wait so many hours to re answer. Also, when re answering questions, questions I have marked as private turn back to public and then are locked for 24 hours. This is agitating. Questions should be able to be changed whenever, instead of locking them out for 24 hours, just put a time stamp of the last time it was changed.

This restriction is in place because it takes time to calculate match percentages, which cannot happen if the questions are being changed more frequently than once every 24 hours. If you're running into issues, please write to support@okcupid.com ATTN LM Every now and then my profile is not accessible that is can't get mesaages, views (no productive activity). I contacted the support team and I have not got any reply that what was the problem. The problem was resolved for sometime but now the problem is back.

So have to be very careful and selective. Especially if you use this app in Singapore. You can find better profiles outside of Singapore. I just have to change the geographical location very often.

It appears that no one can see me, can tell that I've liked them etc. Zero visits in a week and a half. I know I'm no prize but also know from Scruff, POF, Growlr and Surge that new profiles get hit pretty hard for a period. It's almost as if my profile is hidden or something. Will give it another week and see if I hear back from admin.

I'm hesitant to call them out for the people that populate their site but I feel like they are knowingly serving rabid feminists and vegan snowflakes etc more than average people too. That's depressing too because I used to meet a lot of nice women in here. Now it's just people that want to scream at me for everything...
Without perfect service or wifi it doesn't work, which is really a shame. Otherwise I would give it 5. I like that there are now more gender and sexuality options.
The whole app is literally frozen 24/7. I cant edit my account what so ever. Ive tried retstarting my phone and re adding the app. Still nothing. This app is horrible. My page refuses to let me edit anything or log out. Ridiculous

UX in general is not great. Worse, match questions are buried and the interface for answering them, etc, is basically unusable. The matching algorithm, as much as okcupid has inexplicably been burying it for years, is the best feature of the service. Why would I want to use an app which makes it unusable?

Hate that the interface defaults to swiping like Tinder which is usually blank "low on matches, check back later" or out of state/across the country. "Likes" number is always out if sync...is it 14 or 15/16? Guess I'll use the website and delete the app and maybe delete my profile as well since I haven't had a visitor in months.
