The one thing I don't like about this app is that none of the pictures or videos load quickly. I have to open all links in the browser just to see any content. It would've felt like a perfect app apart from that. Not that it is. Content loading is so slow I think it's time to switch to a different reddit app after so many years. The official reddit app actually shows all content instantly so maybe I should just use that.

Hello Amador, thank you for being loyal user for years! Have you tried deleting the app cache to see if the loading time improves? Or even a delete and reinstall? We'd like to be able to assist you directly if you would like to post in r/baconreader. Also, a new version is rolling out (6.0.8.1) that has a couple of memory leak fixes.

Hate that Reddit tries to force you to use an app, and then the app they provide is slow and unreliable and littered with ads. Baconreader isn't perfect and the functions are very different and take a lot of getting used to. But it's faster and cleaner and more reliable, and the ad space is very reasonable. Definitely cannot complain and thank you for being a competent alternative

So I guess this app just doesn't work at all anymore? I've used BaconReader pretty much since it was released. I prefer it's interface, and it's what I'm used to. But the past few months is has been 70% unusable. Simple photos won't open, and forget about a video or gif. I have to force close the app several times a day just to get it load a comments section and it no longer syncs with my desktop reddit. Any plans to fix this, or should I start learning to use another app?

Hi Patrick, we're sorry you are running into issues! RE: media load issue, please try clearing the app cache (usually fixes this problem). RE: sync issues w/ desktop reddit or sub issues, Reddit had an issue the past several days. Per their post in r/help, it should now be addressed. If you are still seeing issues, please do post in r/baconreader!
