Would be 5-stars, but some of the in app ads that load are buggy and start causing random audio muting and spiking. Save for this one flaw, this app offers everything you want for reading on Reddit. Scroll bar to check progress through a thread, remembering where you left off, easy navigation of posts.
Edit: apparently somehow the toggle for show/hide title was changed when it updated. Now I can see them. For anyone with this problem you have to click the three dots while in the comments on the bottom right and toggle the title. This App has resumed being my favorite alongside relay for reddit. Pretty much any over app out there is terrible but these have the best UI and functionality.
This app is honestly great. But there is one thing that in infuriating. When I have any kind of audio running at the same time bacon reader, even if baconreader is in the background, the audio continuously cuts to half volume. Fix this please.
Was ok, but ads have ruined it. They recently started letting ads play sound, and some of them have been godawful sirens and high pitched alarms. Garbage.
I paid for the app. However, countless SSL errors appear. Later edit: fixed, review updated. Thanks!
The notification is my call ringtone, even louder than full volume but somehow distorted, and when I try to open the in-app notification settings to change it, the app crashes.
What's New in 5.2:
- Better handling of SSL errors with option to not display warning
- Removed scrolling ads and replaced with single static banner
- Several crash fixes on image saving
- Support for amp.reddit.com links
- Fixed Twitter videos
- Misc bug fixes
