Ad removal still doesn't work The developers replied to my review a few months ago about paying to remove ads. They said to reboot my device and wait a while. Well it has been more than two months, and after many updates, I am STILL seeing ads after paying to remove them. I strongly urge anyone considering paying for the "no ads" option to hold out until they actually fix this issue.
Great Reddit App, Ads are being pushed more Bacon Reader looks and works great. It's got plenty of flexibility in look and function, no complaints there. The ads have been changed to appear faster after being closed and the target for closing them has been shrunk, so you're far more likely to click on them. Gfycat links don't work most of the time
An application that sold out I loved this app, but recently they decided to humor the idea of using audio adds. Now every other time I use the app I'm getting preached some company. Sadly I'm switching away from Bacon BaconReader. Maybe they'll switch back, but until then it's a no go for me.
Ads play by themselves even when phone is locked. I used to love this app. Now i'm almost tempted to delete it entirely. Video ads play on their own with volume and even play when I have my phone locked. I'll be at work and hear some noise coming out of my pocket. I'll pull out my phone and the screen is locked and audio will still be playing. I won't even be on the app and the ad will still play with volume. This needs to get fixed immediately or I'm going to use an entirely different app for Reddit.
Gifs take too long to load This has been my go to reddit client for a long time but something that has always bothered me is that gifs take way too long to load. I have tried other clients and they load much faster. Besides that, this is a great client and would easily be 5 stars if things loaded a bit quicker.
Issue with the latest update. I love Bacon Reader. It's been my go-to app for almost two years. No complaints up until the recent update after which gyfcat links open but don't play and the app stops responding. Same with Imgur gif links. Hoping it'll be fixed soon. Only thing preventing me from giving a 5 star rating.
