Ad removal still doesn't work The developers replied to my review a few months ago about paying to remove ads. They said to reboot my device and wait a while. Well it has been more than two months, and after many updates, I am STILL seeing ads after paying to remove them. I strongly urge anyone considering paying for the "no ads" option to hold out until they actually fix this issue.
Better than the first party app It works more fluidly than the first party app. The notifications on messages is a massive help. The only problem is that it doesn't keep PM threads together, so you have to go from your sent tab back to the "messages" or "all" tab if you want to remember what you said before replying again.
Great app, best UI, crashes too much. I love this app. I've tried several other options and it's been my favorite by far for a couple years. It looks the best, seems like the most intuitive, and does exactly what I want it to. But, it's been crashing a ton recently. I can't open imgur albums at all anymore because it crashes nearly every time. My only issue other than the crashes is that when I press my phone's back button on the Front Page, it closes the app entirely and I lose my place, but I think that's a phone feature, not an app issue.
It's gotten a lot better. Ad placement needs a bit of work. Recently switched from Reddit is Fun. I like this app, but I think Reddit is Fun embedded ads in a way that's totally unobtrusive. Bacon reader does it in a similar way, then kind of botched it by placing banners inside actual comment threads.
Best option for Android Way less buggy then it used to be. I will sometimes get ads even though I paid for the ad free version but that's becoming rarer and rarer. Has an awesome filter option, supports multiple accounts. I get some weird pop up when viewing the sidebar of a subreddit.
Great unless you want to open imgur albums One image or link is usually fine-ish. Loads fine 80% of the time, but any album crashes the app. Really annoying and you can forget any subs like r/diy that typically show more than one image. Otherwise app runs fine but with lots of ads.
