Ad removal still doesn't work The developers replied to my review a few months ago about paying to remove ads. They said to reboot my device and wait a while. Well it has been more than two months, and after many updates, I am STILL seeing ads after paying to remove them. I strongly urge anyone considering paying for the "no ads" option to hold out until they actually fix this issue.
Great Reddit App, Ads are being pushed more Bacon Reader looks and works great. It's got plenty of flexibility in look and function, no complaints there. The ads have been changed to appear faster after being closed and the target for closing them has been shrunk, so you're far more likely to click on them. Gfycat links don't work most of the time
Gifs take too long to load This has been my go to reddit client for a long time but something that has always bothered me is that gifs take way too long to load. I have tried other clients and they load much faster. Besides that, this is a great client and would easily be 5 stars if things loaded a bit quicker.
Issue with the latest update. I love Bacon Reader. It's been my go-to app for almost two years. No complaints up until the recent update after which gyfcat links open but don't play and the app stops responding. Same with Imgur gif links. Hoping it'll be fixed soon. Only thing preventing me from giving a 5 star rating.
Great app, best UI, crashes too much. I love this app. I've tried several other options and it's been my favorite by far for a couple years. It looks the best, seems like the most intuitive, and does exactly what I want it to. But, it's been crashing a ton recently. I can't open imgur albums at all anymore because it crashes nearly every time. My only issue other than the crashes is that when I press my phone's back button on the Front Page, it closes the app entirely and I lose my place, but I think that's a phone feature, not an app issue.
Great unless you want to open imgur albums One image or link is usually fine-ish. Loads fine 80% of the time, but any album crashes the app. Really annoying and you can forget any subs like r/diy that typically show more than one image. Otherwise app runs fine but with lots of ads.
