Simply the best Reddit client for Android, I highly recommend it! [Edit] The dev reply below perfectly addressed my previous issue. Thank you for replying and fixing my personal mistake!
This is probably the second most used app on my phone after messages. It works perfectly for almost all I need it to. The only weakness is that it lacks most moderation tools. The biggest thing I love about baconreader is the ease of collapsing comment threads.
It's definitely my go-to reddit reader. Some of the features are a little tricky to learn, but the devs seem to be on top of adding features and fixing bugs. My biggest complaints are that you basically lose your place in a thread if you change posts, and there isn't a way to show parent comments, but it works well as a touch interface (waaaay better than the official mobile site), loads most links in-app without incident, and crashes very sparingly even on my crummy 1st gen Moto G.
While I may have wasted more time on reddit that I would have normally due to downloading this app, it would have likely happened with another if not BaconReader. I've tried others and they just don't match the features of the UI with this app. Definitely beats the reddit default app by miles.
Very nice app. And support for dark theme(besides black) is an extremely nice addition. Thank you. An aside: why all the stupid questions- to me) from Google before I can review?
Have tried other reddit apps, including the official one but none can beat BaconReader in terms of functionality, responsivity and layout. The only thing that bothers me is that sometimes, for no apparent reason, GIFs just won't show. This persists for days and I'm met with an error with no explanation. If there is a bug that hinders normal use of the app, I'd like to know about it and that the developer is working on a fix. A little pop-up with something like "Gfyat links not working. Working on a fix." when I start the app would be sufficient. Other than that, love the app!
