Annoying "Opera" at the top of speeddial takes up space. I don't need a baked in news feed. Reload is in upper left? Menu moved to the bottom. How do you remove the history shortcuts that appear under the search bar?! Then there's another toolbar at the bottom of the home page. These things could EASILY be combined into one and give more screen space to the user. Now, bottom row of shortcuts on the speeddial page are hidden. Pages always being opened in new tabs. Often crashes when you close the app.
Old version was so much better - why when I open a new tab does it default to search? I would much prefer it to open my speed dial. Why does it shift me along to the start of my tabs when I do eventually open the speed dial? Trying to make it like Chrome was wrong, not happy Opera...
Fast and feature filled, and the latest version made tabs a lot more convenient, and has a nice layout. The only nitpick I have is that the animation for swiping the red banner up and down is pretty choppy, it could definitely be smoother.
All around slow and hate the main screen wish opera when they bought skyfire browser they would of left it alone and not removed it from market to be used wish you people would have left skyfire in development since it was a great browser with being the number 2 browser for several years instead they took the company after buying it and took the features they wanted and then demolished the app opera will never be as great as skyfire
I can no longer copy paste with any of the opera browsers. I don't want to copy the link, it's not the same. Not everyone wants to follow a link. Plus I always have issues with freezing and sticking, with all opera browsers.
** Update 29 Mar 2017: god this browser goes from bad to worse. What the hell have the developers done to it?!?! It's now so grindingly slow and unreliable when opening, closing and visiting websites, that I'm literally gonna have to switch back to Chrome. Very very poor :-( ** Update 21 Mar 2017: since the latest update, this browser now randomly crashes and quits out every few minutes. Pretty much unusable at the moment. I hope Opera read these comments and fix this issue. ** Review of previous version: This version is better than the previous version. However, the reload button should be on the right-hand side in the address bar with the padlock icon on the left. A minor point but one that feels counter intuitive at the moment. Also the fixed navigation bar at the bottom of the window uses up valuable screen space and is becoming a bit annoying. The Back button could disappear completely as there's an arrow directly beneath that (as part of the Android OS) which already performs that function. I can't think of the last time I used the Forward browser button (does anyone?!?), so that could go. Which leaves two other buttons which could easily go into the top right-hand side menu.
