Updated 10/30 Still cannot disable propaganda. Opera Crew: I dont want to see your SJW news articles when I go to browse rhe internet. I do not care about white guilt or anything Perez Hilton have to say. Not allowing the user to disable this propaganda is low, and makes me question your executive's and your companiy's motives. To other users: I am really enjoying Brave, a chromium offshoot with privacy in mind.
Newest update fine, don't freak out, the tabs in the preview pictures aren't there from what I see in mobile mode or tablet mode. Gfycat and probably other media play automatically in the opera media player now. Not happy about that as I have to maximize it while it's playing to see it in full screen. I liked it better when it wasn't auto play. STILL no way to clear cache separate from cookies. Gigs of cache Vs having to sign in everywhere every time I clear cookies. Please allow me to clear only cache and not cookies and cache.
By FAR the best browser for mobile! The text wrap feature alone makes it a must have. Videos and html5 work great! And fully integrates with android os to replace chrome so that your apps can automatically open it. THIS SHOULD BE STOCK BROWSER ON EVERY PHONE! My only complaint is the news source choice. I actually like having a newsfeed in the browser...but the articles that pop up here are all feminist/liberal/gunhater propaganda. Please select a more balanced news source opera!
Opera is a rather elegant browser that makes reading pages on a small screen very comfortable. In a few cases, it automatically displays a page in reader mode. In other cases, the text is reflowed when zooming. Scrolling is aided only to the top or bottom. Pages are rendered quickly, but its built in ad blocking is not as effective as in Opera Mini and it lacks tracking blocking. Sync is still only partial.
I actually had switched to chrome and Firefox thinking that they were better. I was actually so dissapointed they were nothing compared to opera. Yeah. The cherry on the cake was the thing that the downloads were taking so long to start and there wasn't a "Downloads" section for pending downloadings or downloading history ... And actually Opera's interface is much better.
1. Memory management is very bad. Sometimes my phone freezes because of Opera. 2. There is a blind spot in the right-middle of the screen, from where scrolling cannot be started normally. 3. Often I need to toggle user agent and in Opera I have to open settings for that every time. Please, make it available somewhere in the menu and add an option for websites to remember chosen user agent individually.
