Finally uninstalling. Keep your new interface to yourself! I anyways used Firefox to save page to psf, because Opera refuses to give that option. Goodbye Opera. Used to excellent. After last update, horrible interface. Unwanted new feeds. Earlier downloads show again. Crowded interface. Speed dial screen non-existent. I think will have to uninstall
One of the rubbish update in recent times is 42.8. Why you people try to force us news feed in the home screen if i don't want? No way to stop news feed in home page, i want only my speed dials in home page. No way to login to my opera account, only option to login with facebook or twitter : probably some non active user has designed everything here. Going back to 42.7. I hate this update.
This used to be a glorious app. But then update happened. Speed dial was miniaturized to an extent it was no longer visible and folder name was skipped to make space for unwanted news feed. News Feed loads even when you are using mobile data which causes unnecessary data consumption. Also, since News Feed is no longer optional, it is Force feeded to you. Added to all this new "for you" tab is buggy and app often crashes while loading speed dial and unwanted news feed just after launching it. It is so painful that it is almost funny.
The new update ruined this app!! :( I keep getting errors now that the dashboard is not responding and I either have the option to "wait" or "force close". it'll work for a little bit and then choke with this error. I've restarted my phone, closed tabs, checked my wifi connection etc and this still happens. All my other apps work fine. The "wait" option does jack squat, so I have to force close every time. The new grey background is not as clean as the white and that sort of graphic with the wave and check texture is very mid 2000s in style...but the force closing and stuttering is unacceptable.
It feels like both the mobile and desktop versions of Opera have taken a step back in design. The theme has gone from being modern and clean to feeling dated and overdone. Also, the ad blocker whitelists the major ad service providers, thereby rendering it practically useless. I really wish the devs would focus on adding theme and extension support to the mobile app rather than making unecessary UI changes. At this point I'm just really hoping that Vivaldi will make its way to mobile soon because Opera just keeps getting further from giving the user control.
Very bad features in this version. No tablet mode in this version. Speed dial and ad on same display. Cheap and useless type of Ads. No change in language even after setting done. Irritating. Switching to UC browser sadly. Will wait for better opera version.
