Opera browser is great and is equipped with all the latest features, expected from a web browser! The AD BLOCK feature is quite commendable and works finely. Same can be said about Text Wrap which arranges the text on webpage according to screen size when user zoom in or out. The only feature missing from the Opera Mobile browser is lack of Night/Dark Mode, it is very necessary when it comes to surf the web during night. If OPERA add this feature, then I guess giving 5 Stars 🌟 to this app will not be an option but a sole duty of user!

A very nice and efficient browser I've been using for years. One major complaint: THERE'S NO CONFIRMATION DIALOGUE WITH THE "CLOSE ALL TABS" OPTION! :( It repeatedly happens that I close all tabs by accident and thereby loose tabs I wanted to return to! :( You have to occasionally clear history to reduce memory usage, and you can "reopen" only a few closed tabs. Thumbs up: switching between desktop and mobile user agent is now accessible immediately in the page menu. :)
Great browser I love it but the adblocker.... it just doesn't block most of the ads... I have opera on my PC and it works amazing and with the adblocker on PC version I have never seen any ads but on mobile I have to run another adblocker app to stop ads and it works great but in order to run it I need to run a vpn thing. So if I run adblock vpn I cannot run real vpn cuz phones only allow to run 1 vpn at a time. That adblock function is just pointless tbh so you can 1. fix the adblocker or 2. add a built in vpn just like on the PC Opera. Everything else I love about the browser! It's my favourite one on both PC and mobile!

Am I missing something here? Surely the reason most of us want an alternate browser is to get away from google. So I installed Opera and - surprise!! - the default search engine is google! What!!? I mean yes there's the option to choose Bing, as if Mother Microsoft is any less intrusive than the Great God Google.

Never crashed and opens pdfs like a charm. The best by far!! I only miss flash support and the possibility to specify a search engine. Edit: In the Dec 2017 version, Copy and Search does not respect the Desktop agent option and return searches in phone layout. Please fix this.

Google Chrome intentionally allows pop up ads that force you to its store. This doesn't and not only that but it's actually more efficient. Yes it still uses hope search as default but it is pop up free. I have tried other browsers such as Firefox and this is the only one which is as fast as Chrome AND lacks the pop ups

Speed dial is a great feature, copy and paste works good(unlike some other browsers like puffin and Chrome)Also the customizable news feeds is great. Speed of the browser is average,if OPERA had the speed of PUFFIN it would be the best browser ever. Sometimes when browsing random web sites I get the spam about my phone has a "Virus, click here to remedy the problem. The ad blocker works at times, just wish those" you have a virus" scams would be blocked.
When I shift from one tab to another, why the hell does it refresh and reload automatically even when whatever the webpage I had opened on it had been loaded completely? This is frustrating and I don't see the reason behind refreshing a webpage again and again that has already been fully downloaded. I lose time in waiting for it to load again unnecessarily, and it doesn't even save my previous position on the page, so I have to scroll through all of it again. Very frustrating 😤
I still don't get why Opera Mini has more user friendly features than Opera Browser. I still think there should be an option to install all other speed dials at a go like in Opera Mini than having to import them one after the other. The option to delete a device from the other speed dials list would also be cool. And please make it possible to copy download urls so we can easily share, like it is done in Mini... Unless Mini is actually the better version. Now we can't scan a qr code to open sites. UNINSTALLING!
By far the best browser for Android. Pages load exceptionally smoothly and fast. Speed dial feature is outstanding. A one touch bookmarks shortcut would be useful. Strangely, there is no audio present when playing videos, while on Chrome and Adblock on the same device I don't have a problem.
Still came with the same good features. But some drawbacks are just causing inconvenience. Such as no more navigation arrow buttons (back and forward) in Tablet Mode layout. And also the tabs don't show up whenever I want to change tab, which usually appeared by just a little bit scrolling down the screen in previous version. Please fix this.
Serioux RM X401 with android 4.2.2. Edit : Can you add a search for bookmarks saved trough Speed Dial ? Can a scrool bar be made ? Edit 2017 (last version) : Speed Dial with thumbnails doesen't work always ! It doesen't show bookmarks thumbnails saved on the main page. Opera must be closed, so the speed dial saved thumbnails can be seen again and not just a white page. Word magnification get stuck sometimes. I edited for more understanding.

I'll pass your comments on :) thanks again for your feedback! /Ruth 1 star for the HIGHLY ANNOYING address bar that is always moving around as you scroll with ABSOLUTELY NO WAY to turn off. Somebody must have been off their meds that day to sign off on that. Give me a way to lock it in place like the old days and I'll give you more stars. Not impressed.
Said this on December 23, 2016 "Everything sad about programming in 2016." It's almost like Obama, get's worse with age, slower, hangs all the time, to clear out all the data they track, you have to delete twice, so you think it is deleted the first time. If it get's any slower I am sure they will give away new batteries like Apple.
What have you done to speed dial ? Please make the icons larger, so they fill the screen like before the update. After using the latest version for a few days I can now say you have ruined it.It's slow and buggy.Put it back as it was please send
Why did you ruin the speed dial page? Please allow the user to turn off the news feed on the speed dial page. It makes the app look extremely messy. Please don't follow the trend your competitors went. I'll be shopping for a new web browser. The Microsoft Edge for Android look really clean and the next potential suitor
Great app but only 1 problem. The newsfeed has old articals some which are a couple of days old. This is annoying. Otherwise, no problems at all. Update - 11 December 2017...With the latest update there are so many ads, after every 3rd artical there is an advert. This is really annoying.
What the hell Opera team, do you at least tested latest update? Latest update is awfull, it was almost perfect, untill latest December update. Some pages doesn't load, some with issues, please go back to the second to last version! I was your fan, and browser user since 2003. If you won't back to the previous version (or fix fast problems) I will be forced to uninstall Opera.
I love Opera but the latest update came with ads between the news! the worst thing is that they show nudity etc. pls remove these ads! I'm so angry man you are even writing "with built-in ad blocker" lol your are the admaker wassup
ZERO STARS! ZERO STARS! ZERO STARS! ZERO STARS! ZERO STARS! ***Latest update: Desktop view doesn't work at all!! DOWNGRADING!!! (but can't!) Goodbye browser of over a year. With latest update, "User Agent" set as "DESKTOP" no longer works unless I switch to MOBILE then back to DESKTOP. But then it stops working again if I close the app. I will have to switch to another browser app!!!
Overall good browser I almost always use this browser and like for the most part the "for you" section except when I say no more articles from this source, they keep appearing. So gosh darn frustrating. I will increase the rating when this is fixed.
Very bad update...pages are crashing & bad at scrolling... always stuck... News section are horrible...all contents are full of 18+ or nudity...those news showing in "for you" section...this is disgusting for me... take care of it plz.... please Improve ads blocker service, accelerate download speed, reduce APK file size, secure browsing & other improvements...
Good, modern very fast browser with visible data saver. Boring layout, no news?!? But I find it doesn't save enough data! Needs to be bloat free, block data draining apps more! Less ads! Fast trendy efficient browser, good layout. But it eats too much expensive UK data! Prefer Opera mini, near perfect browser!
This was the best browser out there and I've been running it for two years. Then, for whatever inexplicable reason, you made the speed dial 5 columns. The icons are now so small you need reading glasses to recognize them, and most you can't even name without abbreviation. Just changing something to change something isn't necessarily good .....looking for another browser
The only browser I've found that does text reflow as well as the sadly discontinued HTC browser. But it does have a problem with some secure pages, and can't seem to handle some types of secure checkouts. I often find myself stuck in a loop between the final payment screen, and the shopping cart, particularly when the "Verified by Visa" popup appears. If this could be fixed, the browser would be perfect.
Works great! But when I'm login using my Google account then showing an error of fail so please fix it. And also extra news are showing if I'm interested in business and technology then I want to see only news related to those topics but not working
The latest update is poor. The pages take a very long time to load. Majority of the pages don't load anymore and it's doesn't give you feedback on whether it's network or not. The previous version is far better. I'm using infinix note 2 x600 I'm very disappointed. After the latest update, I'm so sad I can't use my favorite browser again
It used to be nice. I used to browse FB and GoodReads on it but with the latest update it has got ruined. It shows immodest news in the home page and also in the dedicated news tabs. Remove this news feature, it is a very bad trend(introduced by UC browser). Atleast Puffin and FireFox don't show such terrible things using the name of news feed!
Love the text wrap and top of screen option. Best browser BUT you're new layout is ugly and news feeds don't want to load anymore. I want the previous version back please please. Don't be like Swype, they screwed up a perfectly great app

Hey thanks for the support :) We appreciate it! /Rosi I keep trying to get rid of certain news outlets in my "for you" feed but they won't go away (actually they seem to multiply) despite the "you won't see this anymore" tags. How do I block these sites and see things I actually want to read?
[ Edit: temporary one star review: Opera - if you automatically re-enable the home page News & BS feature one more time I'm permanently uninstalling. ] Text wrapping. It blows my mind that it's not a feature on Chrome & Firefox. The only time I even open those apps these days is on accident. Also, Opera will always have a warm place in my heart, after using Opera Mini for so many years on flip / slide-out phones.
Since the last update some pages are missing text. Certain pictures do not load either. The new UI is ugly. The speed dial icons are too small now. Please put things back to the way they used to work!
Used Opera for years, it has been the best browser on mobile bar none.....until this update in December. Constant freezes and app crashes, sometimes so bad I have to restart my phone (Galaxy S7). You have properly messed this browser up you bunch of muppets.
Recent update is buggy, and haven't seen any fixes. Tapping a link often registers in the wrong location, opening the wrong link. The "switch tabs" popup is terrible. It stays up too long, and covers up the place I want to tap. Wish I could turn that off. Developers have not responded to my feedback either.
Awesome update. Working flawlessly. Even Ad-Blocker is also 100% accurate. Just a single issue I have encountered, while scrolling the navigation bar / url bar is appearing sometimes. And at last a request, kindly add Themes that will make the browser more colourful.
I love the Opera browser on Android and I like how the new update looks, but I feel like performance and speed has been the cost of this upgrade. It takes longer for pages to 'finish' loading, as in the past half or third of page loading takes longer than before. This is quite disappointing.
Please bring back the home button on viewing page. I too am experiencing the vanishing of words when i switch tabs. I must zoom out and bac in to make them reappear. Also crashes more often than the previous version. Please fix.
Does not cut off Yandex.Direct ads. I wouldn’t mind them, but recently these bastards began to use animation. Text ads with still pictures are ok. Ads with any kind of animation (gif, or javascript-, HTML-based, video) are unacceptable. They must be cut off as spam.

Hi there, we wanted to give the browser a more modern feel and present content in a new way. Would you prefer having all functions in one place? This was my favorite browser, till this last update. It plain SUCKS. No place to log into my Opera acct. Log in via Google fails . So no access to sync my speed dials. Please fix this or my browser search begins again. 😢
The updated speed dial page is terrible. The icons are Way Too Small. Also I do not like having news highlights cramed in at bottom of page. We should have an option to change the size of icons and move news highlights to a different page. Also the tabs at top of page keep disappearing. It has also crashed 2 or 3 times and I just updated it yesterday. The previous version was Much Better. As the saying goes if it ain't broke don't fix it.
