The OSBeehives Beekeeping App lets you record comprehensive journal entries and sensor data with an easy-to-use interface and unique multimedia features such as hive audio, pictures, and your own voice annotations, which will be transcribed into text by the app. All past entries and historical data are available through your hive's unique timeline.

The app also allows you to analyze any beehive's health using just your smartphone's microphone and our powerful AI tools. The app can detect the following health states: healthy, dormant, missing queen, swarming, sick, and collapsed. Share the sound and the analysis results with your friends!

Pair the app with the BuzzBox hardware, and you can track colony conditions in real time, wherever you are. BuzzBox will remotely record the sound of your hive and provide you with atmospheric conditions such as internal and external hive temperature, humidity, and barometric pressure, as well as wind direction, speed, and weather.

Ratings and reviews

I hate to leave a poor review on an open source app that has been generously made free. However in my hands the thing just doesn't work. There are many small bugs, such as when you use the slider to alter the number of brood frames, it alters the number of honey frames, even though the honey slider hasn't been touched. It is not possible, to edit an observation once submitted. It is hard to review your entries . Disappointing for something with so much potential. Check back in 1 year.

I would like to see a new update roll out soon. that's a little more streamlined and easier to interpret the buzz boxes massive amounts of data. Not to mention the log section needs some help. Where it's more user friendly and easier to scroll thru your logs as well as being able to add additional input and information. I've really enjoyed using the buzz box for over a year now. The only thing holding me back from buying more buzz boxes for my other hives is the app itself. Such a great product

Got the sign up email but it won't log me in to the app. Also, redundant link to pricing in the email And the info about the hardware is hard to fathom. The app really isn't clearly explained. I just needed a journalling tool for hive management.

What's new
