Does not work currently I liked it but today when I try to use it, I cannot bring up manpages. It says use menu to update database and then when I try it tells me no update found you have current version... I'm on Nexus 6, Android 6.0 build MRA58k
Ugly and useful It has all the man pages you need to study, learn at bed or check on the go. But its ugly, pre-Holo era, and inconvenient line breaks annoy reading.
Must have Linux Reference Version 1.1.3 working very well on my Galaxy Note 3. Clean and practical UI. Handy reference for on the go. Previous version glitch with db update resolved and dev contacted me to advise. Job well done.
Does not work on Android 4.4 I have a note 4 running Android 4.4 and after installing it says press the menu key to update the data, the problem is there is no hardware menu key on the note 4, and no on screen menu key either, soft keys are tasks and back, no soft key for menu on new Samsung phones
Works well now. When I first downloaded the app several months ago, the download wouldn't work. I emailed the developer with the issue. Recently, he got back to me and informed me that he had been really busy and not able to devote attention to his app(s) and that he had remedied the download issue. I have re-installed this app and done some poking around in it and it appears to be the most complete MAN page app out there. There is a little annoyance being the hard carriage returns in the text fields when some lines wrap the words just fine. Other than that, I can't find a fault with this app now. I'm am really looking forward to the distro specific MAN pages.
Couldn't download database. Tried 3 times to update the database, app stopped each time. Thanks for your reply - tried again, it no longer freezes the app, but now it tells me I have the latest version. If I hit Show All from the menu, there is nothing displayed. So far, I have installed at on my Note 3, I also have a Nexus 7 running Android L - I'm not holding out much hope it will work on that.
Bug fixes for kitkat.
