As an international student in Australia, you might be restricted by your student visa conditions to work limited hours during your school term, and unlimited during your holidays. I created this app to help you keep track of the limits, taking into account 40 hours maximum per fortnight for any week in the school term.
My app allows you to track your work hours and also insert repeating work hours in the future. It calculates the limit, and it updates it after you set the weeks to the holidays or your school. It helps you answer the following questions.
“How many hours can I work this week within the required limit?” — That means counting the hours you had worked the last week, and the work scheduled for the next. The app will calculate the limit based on the data you give it.
“How many hours can I still work around this time? Do I have some employment gaps?” — You will see an overview of multiple weeks and see any gaps at a glance.
“Will I have time to take the extra work hours repeatedly over a few weeks?” — When adding new work, you will see weeks with not enough availability so that you can say which weeks you need to decline.
“I can’t remember when my holidays start exactly at the moment. Can you let me change it ad hoc when they start? Will my limits still be okay?” — You will be able to set the week to holidays or school in advance any time when adding repeating work and in the work overviews.
“I have work scheduled in the far future this year. Can I save it in advance?” — When adding hours, you will be able to select a week in the future up to 3 months in advance.
I want to give special thanks to Pablo Stanley for the open doodle illustrations I used in my app.
