Aids are great but this app is terrible, terrible, terrible. It works 15% of the time. How something like this could be released is beyond me. I've been asked by others about my new hearing aids but I cannot recommend them if they want smartphone connectivity.
When is the all new bigger and better linking going to be enabled. My Bluetooth only sees the R aid. Removed all Bluetooth devices and started over. Spoke with hearing center and they were lost. First day with 5k dollar aids and can't even control them.
When it connect to my minirites it works great. Sometimes it has a hard time connecting. Noticed if i turn bluetooth off on phone and let the app turn bluetooth on then it connect immediately. 1 star if that is fixed. Another star if streaming is implemented. Added 1 star for improved connectability. Still would love direct streaming
Updated review--connecting to the app is still hit or miss. I have stopped trying after restarting Bluetooth and turning the aids on. Most days at least one of the two will connect. Still want Oticon fix the app.
I really wanted this to work. Looks like I'll be waiting some time. Slow, loses connection when the app is hidden, a truly horrible and opaque pairing process. Direct profile tweaking would have been good too. Also there won't be streaming until Bluetooth 6.0, because Cupertino stuck their claws into the tech standard. This will be at least a year, probably longer. Oh, and another phone upgrade. Still, at least the aids gave me my life back.
I've had my hearing aids since Oct... so expensive. I was told I would be able to listen to music from my phone however I don't see a category for this??? Is this available? Please reply back. I have the samsung 7
NOTICE! If you are experiencing problems with the app not being able to connect to your Oticon Opn hearing aids, please reset the app via the settings menu.
Afterward please open and close the battery drawer on the hearing aids to set them in pairing mode.
* Pairing and connection improvements
