3 days with no charge at the start then after firmware updates I noticed it needed charging at least once a day. data missing from having over 50% (forgot what I was going to say, I have sleep problems will change in future) UPDATE april 2017 got worse. fully charged last night, awoke today and put on charge it says 'could not calculate detailed sleep analysis because ring battery was to low' IT WAS FULLY CHARGED. To start with this seemed fantastic, helped with my sleep. now when it does give you some data it looks wrong... 110bpm while sleeping for most of the night oh come on if you want to fake make it more plausible. So, this has gone from being fantastic at the start to an avoid and save cash.
The app takes ages and multiple trials to connect to the ring. Synchronising is so complicated that it is a burden to do so. Multiple reinstalling and reboots are off no help.
The app crashes when attempting to open it. "Restart ap?" - Sure!... Crash... repeat. The inability to even open the app earns a 1-star review
I've been going back and forth with support - my ring has not been able to update the app on my android for a few days now. Not sure if it's an issue with the ring, the app, or the Samsung S8. Some data seems to be passing through, as it shows the battery power/status in the app.
I lost connectivity to the ring after the update. The device can still be found, but it doesn't connect to download data.
Update : after the app update everything works like a charm. Ring doesn't seem to think yoga class was exercise, but otherwise very useful. This morning it suggested easy day because of increased temperature, and indeed I have a light fever. I wish some of the data would be available directly for monitoring, like temperature and HRV.
