*We're not sure why the expansion download doesn't work sometimes.The solution mostly it involves retrying a bunch. Jumping between "restore purchase" and "buy expansion" will eventually get you the expansion. During the "waiting for a response from the store" phase, it shouldn't take more than a minute or two so if it takes longer than that... cancel and switch to the other option. Sorry for the trouble. I wish I knew a better way to fix this. Thanks for playing!
4.5/5 - TouchArcade “Should you dive in immediately? Absolutely.”

STARFLEET2013™ HD is a computer-simulated battle based on the famous Star Trek television series and the board game Star Fleet Battles . Via computer terminal, you can clash with enemy Klingon battlecruisers /D7 Class and use the same strategies that James Kirk use. You control a Federation vessel similar to the Enterprise; an academy computer program directs the enemy.
Decisive Victory -- You completely destroy or cripple the attacking force.
Tactical Victory -- You out-maneuver the enemy using high-speed escapes, or the enemy surrenders.
All distances are measured in megameters, one million meters (abbreviated `M'). Speed is expressed in 'Warp Factors'. Each warp factor equals 100M per second. All angles are expressed in common degrees from zero to 360, measured counter-clockwise from the x-axis, similar to reading a protractor. Only two dimensions are used. Play is as follows:
1. You issue one of a number of commands (fire phasers, change course, launch antimatter pods, surrender, etc.) by selecting the appropriate command;
2. The enemy, under programmed instructions, issues a similar command;
3. Both your commands are executed (phasers are fired, probes are launched, damages are assessed, courses changed, etc.) in 1/8 warp second intervals while the vessels move through space;
4. Unless certain end-game conditions are met: you destroy the enemy, the enemy destroys you, you out-maneuver the enemy, you both destroy each other, or one party surrenders; the above steps are repeated.
The following is a list of codes which can be used while in the command mode aboard your ship:
CODE COMMAND ===========
F /PH FIRE PHASERS
F /PTRP FIRE PHOTON TORPEDOS
L-PH LOCK PHASERS
L-TRPT LOCK TORPEDO TUBES
LAP LAUNCH ANTIMATTER PROBE
APC ANTIMATTER PROBE CNTRL
RSH RAISE SHIELDS
LSH LOWER SHIELDS
L/NTRPT LOAD UNLOAD TORPEDO TUBES
HLM HELM COURSE/ WARP FACTOR
Simple Strategy If you are a beginner, a simple strategy to follow is A: fight only one attacker; B: pursue him (code HLM) at warp factor one; C: lock on all phasers (code L-PH); D: continuously take position reports and watch his range; E: when he gets within 1000M, fire all phasers (code F /PH) and keep on firing when he is in range; F: When the enemy is out of range, take damage reports and scans of the enemy (icons - enemy ship console). After a few trial games using the above strategy, you will want to become as efficient as the enemy at firing photon torpedos. Finally, when you master launching antimatter probes, you can designate more that one attacker.

In the first level of the game, show your skills by docking your drone to the International Space Station (ISS). While your drone flies around in your flight area, you fly around in a low-earth orbit in space. Attempt to perfectly steer your drone to the docking port, and rendez-vous safely in as little time as possible.
In the second level, you control the Rosetta spacecraft that is currently on its way to comet 67P/Churyumov–Gerasimenko. Avoid space debris on your way to the comet, but don't move too wildly! When you have safely approached the comet, aim for the target landing location and release the Philae lander at the right moment! For more information on the real Rosetta mission, visit: www.esa.int/Rosetta
The game is a fundamental part of a scientific crowdsourcing experiment that will improve the capabilities of future spacecraft and planetary rovers. After a successful mission, abstract mathematical features and small pixel patches are extracted from the camera images of the drone. The images themselves are not sent! The information in the image features cannot be used to reconstruct the original images of your flight area. Still, together with the navigation data of your AR.Drone (velocities and angles), the image features are very important to improve capabilities such as autonomous docking, landing, and obstacle avoidance. For more information see: www.astrodrone.org
Participation to the experiment is highly appreciated and on a voluntary basis. You can choose to participate by pressing the 'Participate'-button in the menu. You can also visit the highscore tables, to compare your score to others. Please note that you have to disconnect from the drone and connect to the internet in order to contribute to the experiment.
For feedback please send an e-mail to the developers using the contact information on this page.
* For this game you need the Parrot AR drone *
Connect to the AR.Drone WiFi network BEFORE opening the app. This is necessary because of a series of initializations during the app start-up. If the app was started before connection to the drone was made, make sure to close the app. To prevent the app from running in the background, quit it using the 'back'-key instead of the 'home'-key.
Marker detection occurs onboard of the drone, and might not work well under all circumstances. Typically daylight helps a lot to achieve accurate detection. Also, make sure to select the correct marker color (blue or green) in the 'in-game'-settings menu.
Starting out as an ensign, based on the Star Trek universe, there will be a lot of action as you are immersed into a do-or-die situation. The Federation is divided into many sectors. Within each sector is a quadrant. In each quadrant there might be enemy, planets, stars and a starbase or two. Get your shields up, select some photon torpedoes and take the war to the enemy, show them that the Federation is no pushover.
Scouting the Sector - Scroll on the map and touch to use your impulse engines to move short distances. To travel to farther sectors, bring up your Star Chart. Select a Quadrant and Engage Warp! The Star Chart will display the location of your Starbases. They will show red if they are under attack, green if all is clear.
When your energy runs low, your shields stop working or you have damage to repair, head to your local Starbase. There you can enjoy some R&R while your ship gets sorted out.
As you drive your enemy back, they will become relentless at trying to stop your progress. You will be rewarded with dilythium crystals for your victories. Mine crystals from local planets. Use these crystals to upgrade your ship. You can also purchase crystals to speed up your ship upgrades.
Weapon of Last Resort - the Death Ray! When it's time to take out a bunch of the enemy, and things aren't looking too good, its time for the death ray. Roll the dice as you either destroy everything within the quadrant or perform a gallant act of self immolation!
When all else fails ... Abandon Ship! Your ship is floating scrap, your crew is mostly dead... It's time... to ... Abandon Ship! All bridge crew head to the shuttle Galileo and prepare for a bumpy ride...
Good Hunting out there! It's a cold and hard universe. Balance your attacks with recovery at a nearby Starbase and you will progress. Don't forget the enemy has a few tricks up their sleeves that they won't hesitate to use. Oh, and watch out for black holes and supernovas!
* Stellar Trek is a Time and Energy management simulation. Make sure you watch your energy, and head to a Starbase to recharge as often as you can!

What is Astro Frontier?
Astro Frontier is a turn based casual resource management simulation that was inspired by the classic Oregon Trail game we enjoyed as kids, as well as Euro-Style Board Games like Agricola and Battlestar Galactica. Astro Frontier, like Oregon Trail, is a game about traveling to a far away destination but with resource balancing mechanics derived from Battlestar Galactica and a scoring system learned from Agricola, all wrapped up and presented as a deep-sea-themed deep-space sci-fi adventure that will have you crossing a vast ocean of stars to make it your destination.
Choose from three different flagships and nine different supporting spaceships to help manage, gather, and sustain your resources to overcome the daily events that stand in your way. Along the way, you just might find your fleet resembling a bubbling aquarium filled with fish more than a deadly armada, just don’t let your guard down because swarms of space pirates are waiting to battle along the way!
What are people saying about Astro Frontier?
“Like Oregon Trail but in outer space. Only slightly less dysentery though.” - a Google User
“Turn based space strategy with elements of rock paper scissors, Homeworld, and FTL.” - a Google User
“Astro Frontier is a game that might appeal to folks feening for Oregon Trail, except that this adventure takes place a few feet higher in the air, and there is much less flux to contend with. Thankfully.” - androidrundown.com [Overall score: 8.25 out of 10]
