Edit: They have redesigned the app and now include series order which saves time trying to figure out which book is first, second, and so on. Wish I could rate higher than 5 stars. Its great for reading on the go and has helped me get back into reading. I so wish it would send me a notification to my phone when a book was ready to be read that I had placed on hold.
The app's interface is impeccable and beautiful in terms of looks. But when it comes to functionality, not so much. When I use my OverDrive app, I use my wish list the most. I have always wanted to have multiple wish lists, which Libby provides via "tags". YAY! However, one feature that overdrive had when looking at my wishlist is I could sort by what is available right now to borrow. Libby not only does not have that feature, but in order to find out if a single book is available in my tags list, I have to make two clicks forward into the book, and if it is not available, I have to make two clicks back to my list. Until they make that experience better, I will not be using this app.
Loving this app so far! Trying to get back into reading after taking years "off" due to depression and medication side effects. This has been amazing for letting me read when I want to and not having to remember to bring a physical book with me. It is very easy to use and understand, and also with my mom being disabled and being her caregiver, it has been good for when I'm in waiting rooms. Would highly recommend!
This app is legitimately changing my life. I get so distracted by scrolling through stuff on my phone that I hadn't picked up and read a book in about a year. Now, I've read a few books in less than a week. I get to support my libraries, read again, and feel accomplished because of the cool little percentage counter in the corner. The app is easy to understand and the support team is very kind and helpful.
Great format! easy to use and great for browsing. I mostly use it for audiobooks, so it has definitely saved me from an Audible subscription :) My only issue is that my lists are not saved to any sort of cloud, so I can't access them on multiple divices. (Also noticed that playback and bookmarks are also not saved.)
I'm really enjoying this app. A few years ago, borrowing ebooks from the library was so cumbersome that I quit. Libby makes it quick and easy. Nice uncluttered interface for finding and borrowing books and a very competent reader make this app a real winner. I'm only sorry I didn't find it sooner!
We've fixed a problem with the playback speed, which sometimes failed to restore when you returned to your audiobook. We've also addressed some cases where downloads got "stuck" if the network connection faltered. And we've done a number of things to solve synchronization quirks when reading or listening to books. Thanks for your patience!
