This has been a great way to access audiobooks. In general, the app works well. There is, however, one rather frustrating issue that I have repeatedly incountered over the several years that I have used this app. The rewind function is a bit chaotic. While it is supposed to jumpback 15 seconds, an acceptable amount of time, it does so unreliably, sometimes jumping back much, much further (25 minutes for example). It can then take several minutes for me to then find where I had left off.

I LOVE this app! It's helped get me back into reading like when I was younger and support my library. If I go to a book store, I check the app to see if my library has a digital version. My biggest annoyance is the wait times but that's really an issue with the library rather than the app. There was a glitch a while back where opening a book on the Kindle app caused all of my Chrome windows to close with no chance of recovery, but I don't know if that was resolved. (I'm too scared to test it.)

Edit 12/5/2024 please fix the audiobook issues!! Playback doesn't work right. The pause play button isn't working either. Have to tap the buttons several times and/or close it out! I use this app 24/7 for all my library books. The last week or so it's so slow. I have to hit the pause and play button several times. The skip back and forward for audiobooks doesn't register either. Haven't had this problem before so hopefully it's fixed soon. Been using audible lately instead due these issues.

What's new

A fix for the issue where an audiobook would skip backward unexpectedly.
