Review from A Google User
Pretty Good This is generally pretty handy - a smooth ebook reader that interfaces well with my library. All of the updates to far have been great improvements on a decent product.
Been using overdrive for years now. I absolutely love it. Anything you can check out in a library, you can check out on here. Even have a waiting list if it's already checked out and they email you as soon as your book becomes available. Plus if you're not finished with the book by the time it's due back you can recheck it out so you have plenty of time to finish It! Really love this app.
Help. This app was great til today and now I can't turn the pages in my downloaded books. I am stuck. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling but same problem even when I reloaded the books. Library section works ok but not my bookshelf. Halfway through a book and very frustrated. Same prob with new title. I am using a Samsung android tablet. Please fix this!
My biggest problem is my new headphones pause/play button no longer works as of the last upgrade and still doesn't with this new one. The new look is annoying. The black buttons are much easier to see than the clear, outlined buttons. In addition, The program still crashes everytime I get a text or a call. Please fix so my headphones button works again, PLEASE.
I LOVE Overdrive because I can always have my choice of text books with me wherever I go. Also, the thousands of audio books available make it easy for me to get through some classics that might otherwise be "tough reads." I often lusten to them when driving or waiting in the car between stops for my job.
If you love to read, and have a library card, you'll love this app! Great interface, and *easy to use*. Access to over 1400 libraries. Update: it's also a blessing for disabled people...I can't get around easily. A few clicks later, and I have a bunch of books or magazines to read! Anywhere.
I like it. The only problem is that when I come across a pdf book from the library, I can't open it in overdrive, which is very annoying. There must be way to incorporate this. Or the library should convert them all as ebooks.
