Very useful! I'm using a raspberry pi for home automation and this baby helps me find the ip's to everything connected to my router, including some neighbours that found out my password somehow... The fact that you can customize every device found and even add an icon, makes it very awesome for keeping tracks. Thanks guys for being awesome!
If your looking for just a software or hardware/software (hardware not required but for a nominal fee you'll never have a concern about the jerks trying to get a look at your bank statements) combination to insure the security of your home or workplace network look no further Fing is the go to solution. Fing provides a comprehensive and easy to understand list of devices that are using bandwidth provided by your router out of the box with too many user selectable options available to list. And it's FREE! (no advertising) I've been using Fing for years and don't get why its still free. I don't work for these guys but they've treated me so well over the years that I feel they do deserve a gushing, slobbering, fanboy review AND ITS STILL FREE!
it's a great little tool, advise everyone who has to manage a home or office WiFi to use it, very useful even without the physical device, use it to list devices, ip addresses of devices on your network, check open ports and services etc
Used to give this app a five star rating. But it now records my home router as being offline even after a re-scan. If my home router is indeed offline, then it will not be possible to submit this updated review to Play Store!
It's a cool app and using it for years I find it more useful than other apps similar to it in nature but I do feel they could take it a step further by integrating more nmap type functionality
Great tool. As a student of network security, I use it constantly as a first port call to demonstrate concepts on live systems
We received a lot of feedback and we tried to fit as much improvements as we could in this release:
+ It's now possible to choose the personal device (long press) when creating Fingbox users
+ There's a new layout of Bandwidth Hog data and chart
+ More network details are displayed in Wifi Sweet Spot
+ It's now possible to customize the device timeouts to track state changes
