Unfortunately, fing has turned into another "Credit Karma", where so many unnecessary features trying to upsell you or get you to use the app are crammed into it that the original point of the app (scanning the network for local devices) has become almost impossible to use. Constant pop-ups confirming if an access point is safe, wanting me to sign up for 24/7 monitoring, asking me to approve every single device on my network... Just let me scan my network and get out of my way! Gosh.

What have you done? App was previously 5 star, but recent update has broken things, the new device identifier does not recognize devices correctly, it's changed some of my custom settings to identify devices on scans, so it's difficult to recognize devices now, WebOS TVs are now Android, and can't be changed back, the same batch of smart plugs are now each identified as completely different devices and brand, its disappointing, otherwise been great, and has great features, just a bit wonky now.

Hey, it's a nice app, but I can do almost all of these things on my Orbi app for free, no ads. Thanks for letting me try it out. Orbi with Armor provides as many Bit defender installs as I need as well. I don't buy that either.😉 Yet. For those without a decent network app, I'd recommend trying this out though. I'll be deleting my account. Thanks!
