Review from Elenka Cobystenechceli
Great but fonts too small On Nexus 7 the font is too small I think. Hey, you young IT folks, listen, 50 years old veterans also like to play with cool new stuff but the eyesight is not what it used to be. You'll understand what I'm talking about when your time comes. This is my feature request: font setting. Thanks.
Device names The device names are wrong and the Brands too it says my computer is a weird Chinese brand but it is a HP and it says my phone is a Lenovo when it is a Motorola and it says my Wifi is sagecom when it is BT need to sort that out and you need to change/update the UI
Not very good Doesn't detect windows hosts, I guess because of their default firewall which blocks ICMP. It should do an arp scan but it probably just sends a broadcast message or so.
Great but.. I named all the devices on my fing scan. Two hours later I scanned again and the names were gone. When I hit the star, it shows my previous scan with the names, and then my most current scan. How do I just keep using the scan with the current names?
Needs fix The app does its job but I still need to refresh twice to get an accurate reading otherwise some devices don't show up. Please fix.
IMO the best network scanner I love the interface. It's dark, clean and easy to use. Size of text/hosts are perfectly balanced; small enough to fit many hosts on my screen at once, but large enough to comfortably read. You can give the hosts a name, description and icon. It can also do a port/service scan on a given host. What I do miss though is auto background scanning. Would probably be a bit of a battery hog, but it could be very useful to be alerted if a new or unknown device is discovered. Maybe also alert for specific hosts.
No longer sees PC USB adapter As of the update of 12 May, it has quit seeing the Wifi D-Link USB adapter on the desktop, whereas it still sees a smart TV, for instance. ---- Reply shown below is now N/A, as my previous comment was about a different matter, as is obvious.
