Recent research suggests that exposure to blue light before sleep may distort your natural (circadian) rhythm and cause inability to fall asleep.
The cause is the photoreceptor in your eyes, called Melanopsin. This receptor is sensitive to a narrow band of blue light in the 460-480nm range which may suppress Melatonin production - a hormone responsible for your healthy sleep-wake cycles.
In experimental scientific studies it has been shown an average person reading on a tablet or smart phone for a couple of hours before bed time may find their sleep delayed by about an hour.

Why use Heart Beat Rate app ?
You may use our application to determine your heart rate just out of curiosity, to compare it with your friends for fun, after physical activity to know your Heart Rate training zone or to do health prevention.
Note : current version does not work on devices without flashlight.
When ending a continuous measurement after at least 30 seconds, the measuring progress can automatically be shown.
The selection of further measurement curves and comparison is possible in the PRO-version only. This allows you to display your condition over a longer period, for example if you have stopped smoking.

Pace Yourself is an app designed to help you achieve your fitness goals and if you don't have fitness goals this app will help you start. How it works is really simple. You select a distance and a completion time and Pace Yourself transforms into a personalized fitness coach informing you if you are achieving your set pace.
