Erdpml touch app embedded into the instructions? Oh hell no. I downloaded the library app to be able to install the the erdpml touch. Which it did... It's just a really poor implementation of that tool. When you pay $20 for an app you expect... well... an APP! Instead you download the erdpml instruction manual to the library and it has an interactive version of the calculator embedded in it. It does work, which is why I have it 2 stars instead of one, but this is a poorly built tool meant to suck up money from divers instead of actually be useful.
Wow what a piece of trash! After weeks of login errors I'm finally in, I've completed my first video and knowledge review, Where are the other knowledge reviews??? i.e 2,3,4 and 5. I've never had an app make me feel so stupid!!! I keep going back to my dive instructor and asking him how to use the app. It's seriously hampering my progression. Can i have an option to give this a minus score? Just brutal!!!!!!
MSDT 641476 The library is not opening at all today. I have tried for 3-4weeks to download the OW touch...just achieved it. Many calls, emails to PADI. Still cannot access to answer quizzes or knowledge reviews. Prefer OW interactive DVD and Manual. Now app will not even open.
Nice concept but broken authentication. As many reviews say, you likely can't log in. I've tried URL encoding the user name, simple passwords, etc. Login works on the web but requires flash, which won't/shouldn't run on any modern device. Frustrating. Yes PADI your app is very nice but certifiably broken in its current state. Don't bother asking users to reset passwords. A little QA goes a long way.
A horrific app for such a widely established organisation. Having paid the required fees for an open water dive training with Padi i expected more competence and at least a functioning app. Looking at the reviews from others its been a common and long running problem which hasn't been close to being solved.
TROUBLESHOOTING ADVICE: If you are having trouble logging in and getting all your PADI courses downloaded, check that you are logging in through the menu function of your phone or tablet. On my tablet I accessed it from the physical "menu" button outside the screen next to the home button, and on my phone it was three dots in the top right corner. You may receive a "Unable to Proceed... you have not redeemed any codes" warning if you try logging in through the User Guide. Also, if you're doing your Open Water Diver make sure you use the "Open Water Diver Touch" not "Open Water Diver Manual" to get all your exercises and progress properly logged.
