About this app

Link to Cell app allows your Panasonic DECT phone to notify you when you received a text message, e-mail(Android default e-mail, Gmail, Outlook.com, Yahoo mail), or a scheduled event.
When this feature is turned on, your DECT phone will use its Bluetooth feature to check your cell phone for new messages and events.
If a new message or event has been received, the DECT phone system will play a voice announcement and ring.

Link to Cell app uses the AccessibilityService API to send notifications to your Panasonic DECT phone.

Configuration instructions:
1. Pair your cell phone to the DECT phone using Bluetooth.
2. Launch this app and turn on the App Alert setting.
The DECT phone will notify you when there are new messages or events.

This app used to work. The latest updates have stopped the app from working properly. Now when you try to place a call most of the time it shows the cell phone is busy when it's not. If you try to end the call from the cordless phone the cell phone still stays connected. Reverted back to version 2.3 and installed from an APK file now the phone works right.

Worked great until last update. Now text messages announce "text message from" and will not announce the sender. Also the phone no longer rings when an incoming mobile call is recieved. How can I get the updates off so it will work again? Update: contacted Panasonic customer service they say "there is nothing wrong with the app" and told me to "send the phone in for repair". I searched online for the apk file and downloaded the old version 2.03. Now it works fine. It is the app!!

Works well enough, announces text messages and the sender name (if name in the phonebook). However, it also announces Discord and Snapchat notifications as "text message from" and no way to disable without killing smartphone notification. The "app list" for controlling notifications in this app is not exhaustive and does not work well. Edit: removed star because Do Not Disturb is ignored.
