About this app

iRisk is an App designed to provide an estimate of the risk of developing pancreatic cancer, based on familiarity and / or genetic predisposition. A simple interface will lead the subject to the end of the test and the degree of risk (low or high) of pancreatic cancer will be estimated. The App was created by the task force of the Italian Register of Families at Risk of Pancreatic Cancer (IRFARPC), promoted by the Italian Association for the Study of the Pancreas (AISP), the first results of which have already been published (Paiella S, et al. Am J Gastroenterology, 2019).
The App is aimed at family members of patients with pancreatic cancer, but also to specialist doctors (gastroenterologists, surgeons, internists, oncologists, endoscopists, geneticists), and above all to general practitioners who believe they want to use it to estimate the risk of individuals. deemed at risk.

For high risk subjects, it is advisable to contact the AISP by email for information on the Centers participating in the surveillance project of the IRFARPC register. The use of the App should be considered an aid and in no way replaces a specialist medical evaluation.
