I will change my review to Five Stars again when my Huawei Smartwatch is again supported by the application, however, with the latest Android Wear 2.0 update my watch no longer supports the application, so I have to pull my phone out in order to start it (Not a horrible inconvenience, however, since the whole reason I bought the watch in the first place was to bypass such trivial inconveniences it is worthy of complaint). This app was supported on previous versions of Android Wear, and worked great. Since I am currently subscribed to Pandora and paying money to them every month I expect them to support the devices I have (Particularly since these aren't exactly obscure products anymore). I understand that it may not be Pandora's fault, since it was an update from a different company that resulted in the incompatibility, for that reason I am also rating down the Android Wear app until I get support to be equitable. I really don't care whose fault or responsibility it is for insuring compatibility, my only concern is that it works, and until it does, I cannot recommend this app to people who have smart watches, and use them frequently. Hopefully this is resolved soon.
6.23.17 Update: Music is GREAT, when it plays! Very lengthy interruptions: "buffering" then non-responsive. Used to be 5-Star. Still disappointing! Bring it back, please!!! Tune in or .... ? No longer able to enjoy my music preferences interrupted with periodic advertisements. Today, April 23, you now play one song then stop and wait until I respond to get your next selection to play. Over and over again... UPDATE May 6,16: NO SOUND! Despite prompt response -- Pandora services to computer and phone have degraded further. ... UPDATE May 20: Still no improvement -- NO MUSIC irregardless of what I do...
With the new Pandora premium, it has become the most amazing, music listening app to me. Used YouTube to find certain songs.. but now I can choose! Tried the free 7 day trial and was amazed! Receive another 30 day trial right after which was more awesome and I must say I'm hooked. The app itself is spectacular (shout-out the dev team) with little irritability like usual crashing or freezing like many other apps (even YouTube). Will definitely be resubscribing to the full paid version once the trial is over.
I really like Pandora for the ability to put in one song and getting a whole playlist of similar songs. With the new update I'm finding it difficult to do that. Now you can look up a song and listen to that specific song but then you get the rest of the same album with no similar albums or artists unless you create a playlist and add them. I remember when that was how Pandora was at first and not needing to look up every song was a great upgrade and now I usually use youtube when I just HAD to listen to a specific song. It doesn't make the app any less good but I prefer just regular Pandora plus. No ads lots of music without needing to look up every song. Pandora plus is just right for me.
The layout changed back to the standard blue, which I'm thankful for. But now there are ads out the whazzoo! Choose one option, pop up ad. Poke and change stations, pop up ad. Yes, I'm cheap and am using the free app, but what happened to just the ads every few songs? It's more bothersome now, but hey at least it functions better than that layout that lasted for a week.
This is a great app. But why such an ugly blob ish icon. Go back to the old one or something. Also the new format sucks. The old style had a white thumbs up if you liked a song, now it's a circle? And the unused icon is a colored in thumb? It's unintuitive. Just making changes to make changes at this point.
