Unfortunately, the app is either poorly designed or poorly executed. While counting up, the app will only speak your chosen iteration once. So, if I choose 5 minutes, it'll tell me once 5 minutes have passed but not at 10, 15, etc. Instead, there's a long list of checkboxes that are inefficient to use. Also, the app crashes after the first spoken time if the screen is turned off & sometimes crashes if you're also playing music.

Hi Nick. The app is different from other timers in that it is designed to trigger at pre-set intervals instead of repeated intervals. We like the idea of an option to do both, though. Thanks for taking the time to feedback. We're always trying to improve so any feedback is appreciated! Regards, The Parent-That! team

The interface isn't very well thought out. You can go up when setting the timer but you can't go down.. If you want to set the timer to let's say 8 minutes and you mistakenly press the minute button 9 times, you have to "cancel" the setting and do it over again. Edit: That would definitely make your app much user-friendlier, thanks for your reply.

Thanks for the feedback, Josef! We tried laying out the timer similar to a traditional kitchen timer (hence why there is only an "up" button). An "undo" button to go back a step, might make a good addition, though. Thanks again! The Parent-That team

So nearly an excellent app... I'd been longing for a phone app version of my count-down gadget which speaks the remaining time with increasing frequency as time-up gets closer, and at last found this. Unfortunately the announcements dry up when the phone screen goes to sleep - though the option to keep going when the screen's manually locked works fine. The different voices are fun but would be even better if the last-selected voice came up by default.

Hi Jon, interesting about the timer not firing when sleeping. We'll do some digging and see if we can fix the issue in V2. Also, keep an eye out for V2 which will have an option to create and save specific settings/recordings as "custom" timers. As always, a BIG thanks for taking the time to feedback! All the best, The Parent-That! team
