App works ok but could use some refinement. Booking a space asks for the license plate number, then as a part of the confirmation, tells you to include color and make/model of the vehicle in the description, then after youve created the reservation you have to edit the vehicle description to add the make/model. Would have been easier with fields for that on the booking form. Some bookings require a print out but I can't find any way to print the reservation from the app.
Cancellation not guaranteed The app clearly states in its FAQ section and in the About Us section of the app that you can cancel your reservation anytime up to the reservation time for any reason and you'll receive a credit to your account. This isn't true. Some garages don't allow cancellations within 24 hours of the reservation time. When I called the PP 800 number they refused to honor their guarantee. I called back a few minutes later and cancelled my account. They didn't ask why I was cancelling. I wouldn't use them.
My sister-in-law introduced me to the Parking Panda app. It was very easy to use. I used it for the first time over Thanksgiving weekend to take my family for a visit to a DC museum. My parents are elderly and I didn't want them to have walk too far. Using Parking Panda, I was able to find parking within a block or so from the museum. My only complaint was that there wasn't sufficient signage in the parking garage to direct me to proper payment lane upon existing the garage. In this particular garage, you have to check out with a live person and not at an automated kiosk. However, to their credit, a Parking Panda customer service rep did follow up with me regarding this feedback. I appreciate good customer service, so kudos!
5 stars right now. Great in DC, really takes a lot of stress out having guaranteed parking at affordable rates. One thing that stands out to me is their attention to detail, how exactly you get in and out of each garage is very well documented. I was skeptical the first time when I was required to show my reservation to a parking attendant, I didn't think they'd understand but nope, just as the app said they took my confirmation # and I was off. 2nd experience using panda scan, also 99% flawless. I hope I'm continued to be surprised and happy. These parking apps seem to come and go
App is fine. Parking Panda is awful. Sold me a parking place that didn't exist, than refused to reimburse me for slightly more expensive parking (it was $12 more) that I was forced to take or miss the show that I was attending. Brutal. Lots of good alternatives for parking. Go to SpotHero and save yourself a lot of heartache.
Was very satisfied with Parking Panda. Was very helpful in finding safe parking very close to my destination. The garage felt safe and everything went smoothly with the panda reservation. Can't tell you how at ease I felt knowing that I had a reserved space for me and my family.
