Great idea but In concept it is awesome and looks cool. Please add a manual sync button so that I know that it is at least trying to sync. Dispute being in the same room all night it seems to need me to put the phone right next to it and just hope it works. It will often be several days between successful synchronisations.
Buggy and nosy Have been using this for more than a year. Constantly crashes and lose connection to the device. Had to reset multiple times but with no help. Sometimes it works and then not anymore. Besides you wonder why the app want the device history access right! Will deinstall until things are fixed.
Barely works with Sprint Samsung SPH-L710. Bluetooth communications work when it's a few feet away. Live mode hangs phone every time. When I get the data to transfer it's useful. I'm using it to keep two blueberry plants in containers alive. It tells me when to water and if the plants are getting enough sun. The fertilizer reading is always low (0.5) which is suspect since I have applied some acid-loving plant fertilizer already. I wonder if it will work with the Motorola E from Republic Wireless? I hope the Bluetooth communications can be improved for all devices since the unit could really help with keeping plants healthy.
Useless It stopped sending me notifications for watering my plant. It doesn't sync to my S5 when I open the app. If I have to remember when to manually sync to get reminders to water the plant, what is this product accomplishing? Regret buying the product that relies on a broken app.
This app is NOT maintained This is the app with the longest start time on Android for me. Connecting to the sensor device is very unreliable. To get the core function, access to the todo list, I needed to login on the FP website, since the app shows nothing there, despite of showing notifications. The details screen for the sensor data crashes since months, I have sent in dozens of error reports, apparently all unprocessed. I will switch to the open source nodejs flower power app, as soon as I get a BT4.0 dongle.
Poor afterthought to Apple app The android app just doesn't work. I could pair with my Flower Power but I couldn't update firmware or connect. Ultimately I had to use the iPhone app to get anywhere. Parrot's Android app therefore appears to be a poorly executed and unreliable afterthought.
* An issue occurs with Nexus 5 on Android 6 : sensors are not detected. To solve that problem, please activate the GPS of your Phone/Tablet.
