This is almost perfect, very very powerful and a reminder of why I switched to Android in the first place. The functionality on this is astounding. I wasn't sure what to expect but this really is a pretty good CCTV / Webcam option. There's a couple of very small issues and one or two things which could be improved but it's still one of the best examples of a very VERY functional app I've seen on Android in a long time. Right now it's hooked up to mains power for me, recording video based on motion or audio detection, I can go to a web interface and grab the files, remotely delete them - etc. Real good stuff, despite the tiniest of issues, I still think this is easily worth 5* and the money. (note, I bought the paid version, despite the free one doing what I needed, this kind of code should be supported)
Latest version is VERY stable (except video stream stops after taking photo via web interface) This version is very stable compared to previous ones. On previous versions, recording using mp4 format (required if you wanted to use ivideon) would always produce files that every media player on either phone or PC couldn't play. The new option of mkv format has saved the day!! VERY good quality recordings with small file size. Absolutely stunning infact! Some issues: "Take a picture" sometimes crashes the live stream untill app is restarted. Sometimes I have to restart phone to get a live stream back.
Best and worst I am able to take video (live) in MATLAB but it's too slow for high resolution. Another problem is that the acquired image can't be used as efficiently as image acquired by MATLAB command videoinput('winvideo', 1). Is there any way to use the ipcamera image as simple adapter image in MATLAB? I haven't get any help from MATLAB community. Can you help? One more bad thing- consumes heavy RAM and makes phone drastically slow. However features are very good.
Nice Very very very usefull. Thanks for creating this usefull application,WIFI make it very Fast and smooth.
Lovely app. Just one question. You can't record video in any format on earlier Android versions than 4.1? Thanks.
Add ruined app I really loved this, but the third time I used it, a clash royal add pooped up, and can not get it to go away. Closed app and opened again, just to return to the add, which is a high risk program.
