The eFile Gift Tracker App is developed by Pasadena Consulting Group LLC dba Electronic Filing Systems (EFS). EFS is making the eFile Gift Tracker App available for free.

Public officials across California are required to regularly disclose their economic interests. They have to file California Fair Political Practices Commission FPPC Form 700.

The FPPC and the filer's local agency provide extensive guidance on reporting requirements. Form 700, Schedule D, is the place for disclosing gifts received by the public official during the reporting period. Schedule E is the place for disclosing travel payments, advances, and reimbursements.

The eFile Gift Tracker App allows the user to easily track gifts and travel payments as they are received. At reporting time, the records can be exported in Microsoft Excel (.xlsx) format — one file for Schedule D and one for Schedule E. Electronic filing systems such as eFile can import the data for a streamlined and easier filing process.
