Love the device itself and the concept but this app is garbage (on Samsung Galaxy S4, at least). Doesn't connect 90% of the time unless I unpair and do several restarts and sometimes not even then. You'd think stable bluetooth connectivity would be priority number 1 but this app hasn't even been updated in 2.5 months. Should probably hire whoever did the bluetooth programming for Fitbit, never had any problems with my Charge HR.
Doesn't work anymore Since the most recent update, the bracelet is not responding to the alarm set in the app, which defeats the purpose completely. It may be a pairing issue, but the new version is confusing and I can't tell. UPDATE 1/4/17: STILL very problematic and not reliable for waking me. This device was way too expensive for its limited use.
While this app looks a lot prettier than it used to, it's still one of the most buggy apps I've ever used. If I didn't need it to use the functions of a device I paid for, I wouldn't use it. The frustration from the bugs wouldn't make it worth it. It gets stuck on the sleep tracking screen ALL THE TIME and I have to force stop, reset the device, disconnect Bluetooth, set everything back up, and then it works correctly for maybe two days before it wigs out again.
Love the Look But can't add habits I was an early backer of this product and it's come a long way, however even though the new app is beautiful and features rock, I now can't seem to do the one thing I need to: add a habit. When I tap add habit in either menu it just glitches and either opens the menu for one millisecond or not at all. Using Galaxy S7 edge with latest Android software. If they make a fix for this I will update review to 5*
Great customer service getting the device, but everything about this is a scam. There's no automation, zero intelligence built in to the app, it's basically just a shock device *when you press a button*. You *can* set hourly alarms, which only work if you're either *always* doing something "hey, stop that breathing, y'hear?", or ... I dunno. They don't even get "Pavlovian" right, since you have to administer the shocks yourself! Arg! "I want a cigarette, but what about the shock? Don't worry about that, I just won't shock me!" The customer service in app is just there to sooth your transition into realizing you bought a glorified square battery. Do yourself a favor and buy a 9v battery and touch it on your tongue every time you have an urge ... $170 cheaper!
The device seems to be pretty good so far. It works even better than advertised (the shock clock, I didn't bother with the full pavlok, which I don't really see the point of). It was definitely overpriced, even when "on sale," but that's acceptable if it makes the impact I hope it will on my life. My big gripe is the app itself. It's glitchy as hell, really unreliable. The saving grace is the fact that once your alarms sync with the device, they're saved on there. That way the app can bug out all it wants and your alarms will still be reliable. It's also handy if your phone dies. Still, for as much as the device costs you expect a premium experience top to bottom, and the app destroys and semblance of that.
