The very first thing this app greets you with is asking you for your private details such as name, private address (!), maybe more (did not go any further), all without bothering to tell you what it will give you in return. It allows me to pay with phone straight from my account? Not bad, but is that all what's in it for me? Seqr gives cashback for that, and I am also happy to pay by credit card which earns me miles. What's the added value of Payconiq?
When declining permission to Contacts it keeps telling me that I can always enable it in app info, on every letter I enter in the search box for the contacts. And although I obviously declined the permission that text field needs, it shouldn't do it on every letter ;)
Nice app, but it lacks multiple profiles, or the ability to add multiple bank accounts to the same profile. This is a very important missing feature.
Sure, Payconiq does what it's supposed to, but there is absolutely nothing to get excited about. It only works at select stores, as opposed to something like Android Pay or Seqr that'll work at any contactless terminal. There's no real reward for the user (unlike Seqr's cashback system), and it won't work without an active data connection. There are simply much better alternatives out there.
We’re always looking to improve Payconiq and make the app as simple and secure as possible.
In this release, we’ve scared a couple of bugs away and optimised the usability of the app.
