DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS APP: I was paid $700.00 over a week ago. "PayPal Here" held $181.12 . Called it "Pending." I called PayPal, they told me that i should have used the chip reader and that I wont see my funds for 30 days. I demanded to receive my funds. They refused. I asked to speak to a manager. I was placed on hold for 30 minutes. No manager. I called PayPal again. No help. It has been two weeks and still no money. I took two $21.00 purchases last night. (Well, it's under $500.00, right?) They held that too. "PayPal Here" has a lot of work to do on this app and in communications with the banks. DO NOT USE THIS APP!!!
Never had an issue until these last few app upgrades. It keeps telling me my log in is incorrect. I can log into my account on the Web just not the app. Called to have them reset my account....I'm still waiting for the phone call back..
Recent update causes failed logins. Login screen forced to portrait, when the previous version would work landscape (docked to keyboard). Worst of all - product search functionality no longer works at all. Woeful update.
The latest update is a sham. Login screen is forced portrait for no reason when the operation screen is forced landscape - who is the no-brain behind this? Product search by category no longer works and is an absolute woeful headache when you have a large inventory. Why fix something that is not broken? And if you must why release it without correcting schoolboy errors. Hopeless.
Another suggestion for this app: fix the logout sequence. The regular PayPal app exits easy and logs back in very smoothly. This app? It's a pain in the butt to log out. Then the log in after the painful logout is too time consuming. Why is this login/logout process as easy as the regular PayPal app???? It would be great if this app would request permission to read device contacts so I don't have to manually add client info. I've been having problems when saving customer info, "could not save customer information" message. Thirdly, the sales history list needs to be revised. That grey line should separate each transaction and not divide the two lines of each transaction.
Update: with some updates the number of cards it would not read went down. However, the last update makes it so I cannot log into Paypal at all and its impacting my business! Please fix this. Doesn't work with the card reader, and it's not fair to charge a higher fee when the device fails to work 90% of the time
