Same as others posting here. Such an opportunity for a great functioning app turned into a money grabbing exercise. Fortunately I didn't enter my bank details after going past the mandatory minimum €10 top-up after the minimum €10 threshold. Had a great experience with a parking app it France. This is shocking. Part of the government's plans to stop people using cars, I wonder?

DO NOT USE THIS APP. Once you register a card for payment you cannot disable the auto top up function, I periodically get a €10 charge to 'auto top up' the account on this app which I have used once. There is no way to turn it off in the app, the minimum auto top up is €10. Should be illegal.

Hi Arran, customers have the option to pay with or without an account. If you opt to park with an account, there is a mandatory auto top up facility. To close your account , please get in touch at ptsupport@parkingtag.ie or call 0818 300 161

Don't use this app! Auto top up is a scam and also hidden charge 1euro per car per month as an "Administrative fee" that doesn't show on the app but have to login through a Web portal to see. Didn't use the app for approximately a year and couldn't figure out why my account auto topping up.. then realised I have 4cars... 4euro monthly free for storing my car reg number??? Absolute joke. Also you get more time using coins at machine. STAY AWAY!!!!!

Hi Alex, You can make a once off payment for parking through the app without registering for the auto top up facility. if you wish to close your account and refund the balance, please get in touch by phone 0818 300 161 or email ptsupport@parkingtag.ie.
