About this app

Welcome to the “You Can Heal You one meal at a time” app. My name is Virginia Harper, and I will be your host.
I designed this app to allow you to explore and create healthy meals that are tasty and nutritious, all within the convenience of your smartphone.  You will be provided with all the details to make a fresh delicious meal from scratch, and you will learn some great nutritional tips along the way.

A bit about my story:
Forty years ago, I was diagnosed with an inflammatory bowel disease called Crohn's and a rare blood/ vascular disease called Takaaysu arteritis. At a very young age, I was dealing with two life-stifling autoimmune conditions that had no medical cure. For seven long years my life was about pain and suffering, in and out of hospitals, and a revolving door of doctors that only offered me drugs and surgery.  I was hopeless and depressed. It wasn’t until I discovered Macrobiotics, a philosophy of eating and lifestyle practices that teaches nutritional balance through fresh whole foods, that I realized I could actively support my body to promote health and combat disease. In just a few short months my body chemistry changed and my body was catapulted to healing. In one year I was rid of both diseases considered medically incurable by learning to eat consciously and with a purpose. Now I want my experience to benefit you. No matter what stage of health you are currently in, eating with purpose one meal at a time will activate your body's natural ability to heal and return to wellness.
