Petcube Play will work for 3 weeks then stop on its own. Called customer care and spoke with a representative for an hour, for her to say they will send me another one. Then the next day I receive an email saying my app version is out of date. I'm puzzled how that can be when I deleted the app 5 times and reinstalled. I'd assume the latest version would be the one reinstalled. They have major issues and CD doesn't always know what they are doing!!! Waste of time!
Am sending back as after three days I still can not get it hooked up...thus after so much frustration I am unhappy with the product

This is a pretty fun app but you should be able to see if laser or sound is enabled on the picture before you click it. That would be a lot easier to find fun ones.

And the reason for your Petcube to stop working is not related to the version of the app. We've reached out to you via email regarding the replacement. Petcube Team. The concept is great. The laser doesn't work great but I feel bad using it so I don't use it s often. The motion of the laser isn't fluid. It is very choppy and sporatic.

Hi Rebecca! Thank you for the review. We're sorry laser motion wasn't up to your expectations. However, there are a few ways laser precision can be enhanced. Could you please contact us at support@petcube.com? We would be glad to help you. Thanks! Great app and cool device - but app should warn you that using your speaker phone results in crappy audio both in the phone and at the petcube. Use headphones with a microphone for best sound. Took me a while to figure that out. Also, the notifications feed should identify the timestamp if someone using your petcube, not just that someone used it.

Thanks for sharing your feedback with us! The sound actually works better if the devices are located not too close to each other. Otherwise, their interference may create an audio loop as some devices with built-in microphone or speaker, do.

Petcube Team. I got the cube yesterday and have only had issues with the the focus, color of the camera. When I listen to the sound I can hear other conversations at my home. This morning the color when from black to white. Not impressed

Thank you for your review! The video quality indeed depends on your internet speed. The min. requirements we recommend are 2Mbps for the download speed of your phone internet connection and 2Mbps for the upload speed of the internet that the Petcube is connected to.

Thanks! We purchased this as a black Friday deal from Petco and could not be happier with the purchase. A little pricey but easy to set up and great way to interact with your pets when you are not at home. Cats have been having a blast! Looking forward to the release of the treat device in 2017!

The app has a lot of flaws with User Experience, it's not obvious how to add people to the camera, sometimes when you launch it from a notification the back button just closes the app instead of taking you back to it's home screen, so you have to close the app to get to the home screen, the initial registration was all wrong I had to tap the back to make it go green to reconnect to WiFi it stayed yellow for 5 minutes before that. And nothing tells you rapid blinking orange means downloading latest firmware, so I tried to reboot it while it did that, as non rapid orange. Means no internet, luckily didn't brick the device, it appears the device is well build and programmed just not the app

I have emailed them and I have chatted. I still cannot get my petcube Play to work. The app on my husband's phone will not work either. We go through setup but the green light continues to Blink green it will not turn white. Extremely frustrated!

I just spent a lot of money on this product and I'm trying to use it but I'm not pleased. Is there someone that can help? I already tried resetting the cube and I can see videos but I can do nothing else.

You can interact with pets through publicly shared cameras (e.g. at shelters) and post pictures of your pet. You can also follow other people on the app. It works like any other social media but full of cute and funny pictures of pets. Whenever I'm in a bad mood, this application brightens my day! Keep up the good work Petcube team!
I have 2 cameras and I can't access both or install both!! Extremely overpriced when you can't use them. So far crap. I had it connected then I had to Uninstaller the stupid app...reinstall and now it won't let me log in. POS!!!!

I have recently moved to Europe and like any pet owner had anxiety about leaving my 2 cats in the states, but the petcube has been the closest thing to being there with them. I have fellow co-workers that have also had to leave pets in their home countries and after I raved about the petcube to them I know of at least 2 that are ordering their own. Petcube announced a camera with treat dispenser that I can't wait for :) Best investment I've made during this move, thank you Petcube!!! If after the update you have issues talking through the cube: Open the app and on the home screen click settings (gear icon in upper right corner) -> make sure the volume slider at the bottom of settings is turned up (this is an issue reported by a lot of users after the update but is a quick fix) -Very quick and easy set-up (took me about 5-10 minutes). Laser works great, it is super fun to be able to interact with my pets. Voice feature is icing on cake as my pets recognize my voice :) Customer service is quick and friendly, there is a chat option on their website! Only recommendation would be a desktop application. -
App works decent despite a little lag, not getting push notifications upon movement or sound. Other than that it's fun playing with my cats!
