The Sessão Vitrine Petrobras app is the new free loyalty, interaction, and official tracking platform for the Sessão Vitrine Petrobras project. Developed to bring the public even closer to Brazilian cinema, the app gathers, in a single digital environment, all the essential information about the films released by the project. Users can explore titles currently showing, consult the complete schedule at partner cinemas, watch trailers, access unreleased images, exclusive content, and detailed technical information.
The app also offers a dedicated area for the current edition's catalog, allowing the public to directly engage with the essence and purposes of Sessão Vitrine Petrobras. By expanding access to information, encouraging engagement, and bringing the public closer to the works, the app integrates with a larger initiative that, over 15 years, has been transforming the way Brazilian cinema is distributed, promoted, and celebrated.
Sessão Vitrine Petrobras is a pioneering collective distribution project for Brazilian films in commercial cinemas, carried out by the distributor Vitrine Filmes. With discounted ticket prices, the project has a network of partner cinemas in over thirty cities. Similarly, it promotes accessible screenings, accompanied by debates, training activities, free screenings, and partnerships with collectives, film clubs, and public and private educational institutions, with the main objective of enhancing audience development and democratizing access to national audiovisual content, expanding the reach of Brazilian cinema.
The Sessão Vitrine Petrobras also aims to preserve the memory of Brazilian audiovisual production, having been responsible for the restoration and 4K release of the films “Durval Discos”, “A Hora da Estrela”, “Saneamento Básico, o Filme”, and the short film “Ilha das Flores”, by Jorge Furtado. At the same time, through a curatorial approach that values a decentralized and current selection of national production, the project aims to embrace different themes, genres, aesthetic proposals, and productions from various Brazilian states, providing a diverse program for the general public.
Throughout its 15-year history, the Petrobras Showcase Session has reached thousands of viewers across Brazil and has been recognized with important awards. Established as one of the most relevant initiatives for promoting Brazilian cinema, it continues to renew its commitment to bringing audiences closer to theaters and strengthening the place of Brazilian audiovisual production.
