As a parent of two children using these toothbrushes, I wish we could have both devices on the same phone / app. As it is now, I have to track one child on my phone, and my husband has to track the other on his phone. This isn't as big a deal when we are both home, but that isn't always the case. Also, I imagine a single parent would appreciate having the ability to track more than one device on his or her phone.
The app forces you to share your location on your phone or it will not connect to your toothbrush. In other words turn your location off and you can't use the app. So you buy a premium product like the Genius 9000 for the Bluetooth capability. And then you are forced to share your location to be able to use the product whit the app. Unacceptable! It's a toothbrush. How much privacy do we need to give up to satisfy big business? I will return my "genius" 9000 and get a Philips Sonicare DiamondClean instead.
Will give a higher review, once the Bluetooth issue is resolved.... Each time I try to pair my phone to the brush, it'll say that it's connected, and that I need to turn off the brush to continue ... Once I do, the app begins to research for the brush again... Can you help me fix this? EDIT: is there a plan to make this app more accessible for Android OS 7.0? I'm not sure when/if my phone will have access to the newer updates
Barely functional and the devs lie about why. Bluetooth works fine on 7.0 with every app and device I own except this one, yet they say the connectivity issues are because of 7.0 and not because they need to fix their broken app. They also require location data to use the app and say it's required for Bluetooth to function, this is another lie. They've developed a barely functional app and then lie to their users hoping they don't know enough about app design to call them out.
I guess my Oral-B 5000 doesn't want to connect to my Galaxy S6 Active. My Bluetooth is compatible. My phone can see it, says it tries to connect but nothing happens. Tried using the toothbrush on my phone too but it would only clean my phone. I'm just kidding about that last line. Really though it's no fun brushing my teeth if I can't see my stats! 😳😳 Though the best toothbrush I've handled, ever! 😆😆
Bluetooth not connecting just like the other reviewers. For customer service I have a Motorola Z force running Android 7.1.1 Please help me with this issue, love the 8000 but would love it even more if the app worked...I did everything the help says, it looks like it's going to connect but never gets past that stage.it finds it but can't connect... sucks, give me a 4 digit pin!!! Please!!!
