The habits in the Promise Tracker are designed to improve your child’s social, emotional and academic wellbeing. They are backed by academic research, proven methodology, and cover a variety of topics. The goal of the app is to serve as a support device that contains information and habits that you can adopt and customize to encourage your son’s academic success.
Three points to remember as you adopt these habits:
1) Your new habit should occur immediately before or after a daily (anchor) behavior. (E.g. After your son brushes his teeth, or Before he puts on his coat etc.)
2) You should focus on a maximum of three new habits at a time. Any more than that could be overwhelming to you and your child! Remember, you want to focus on small steps that can be successfully integrated into your daily life and that you can you build on in the long run.
3) Your habits should be simple enough to integrate into your day/schedule.
