My child loves it so much that they think it is part of their screen time (ie pleasure time), Their reading this year has improved a great deal, due to using this app. The emailed information for parents has enabled me to be engaged with their experience, without taking it too far and putting him off by "being a teacher". Just helps parents with awareness of levels, points of difficulty, and helping him see the rewards store and vault to put his rewards in.

Phonics Hero is a really great educational app for 5-year-old kids. It is helping my children improve their English speaking and reading skills in a fun and easy way. My kids enjoy learning with this app every day. I purchased it again for my younger son because we had such a good experience the first time. Highly recommended for young children learning English!

Subscriptn program. Past review: Seems to be a complete games based reading program. synthetic phonics. Games: simple, not too long, fun & varied. Rewards. Different methods of teachg. DONT LIKE: 1) in Australia, 'a' before 'n/m' says 'air' NOT 'a'. I had to teach this rule before i wanted to so that we could go on with program. 2) child was progressing well in the basic sounds/words when suddenly given words like: 'was/the' before being taught 'th' or 'a after w says o' rule. Cant go on.
