Does not live up to the hype. Don't get me wrong, it's truly visually stunning, even on non-tegra-3 devices. The trouble is, it's just another freemium game at its core. The story is interesting, but gameplay is essentially the same random encounter format we've seen for years. You wander around gathering money for equipment that doesn't hold a candle to the stuff that you can buy for real (or deal with the headache that is tapjoy). The game isn't remotely scary and the freemium elements make it tedious enough that it is hard to enjoy.
This game. This is the kind of game that could make people take a second look at the mobile side of gaming. Visually stunning, challenging, easy mechanics and smooth game play. I never thought that something this fantastic could be accomplished on mobile. Whoever created this, you are an artist. A magnificent, wonderful artist. Thankyou for letting me explore this world and please don't ever stop what you're doing.
It's great! I'm not experiencing any problems yet. I've gotten a good amount of time into the game and can say it's definitely worth a try! It looks great, runs great for me, dialogue can be interesting to listen too. There's also a lot to read in pieces of news papers and notes. There's also a good variety of enemies, and weapons to choose from. I would say try it if you can run it!
Entertaining For it being a game on my phone and not on an actual gaming console it's pretty entertaining. It didn't work immediately after the initial download, but after stopping some apps and rebooting my phone I haven't had anymore issues. [Edit] My only gripe is that the dodge arrows are way too close to the top of the screen resulting in me bringing down the drop-down menu in the middle of a fight. =\
Absolutely love but.. When I first played this on my friends iPhone I was blown away by everything. Its presentation the gameplay, the amount of detail, and the superb voice acting of a single old man. Only problem I have now being able to play on my new tablet is the resolution. Its mainly the text sizes in the game that are wonky. They overlap each over cluttering up the menus making it difficult to correctly select options and view things
Reinstall broke my IAP I had previously purchased the premium upgrade but recently had to wipe my phone. After reinstalling the game, I found that the upgrade was not in effect. Trying to repurchase it results in a message from the play store stating that I already own it and an error in game that says the transaction failed. Restarted and reinstalled multiple times to no avail. UPDATE: 2 weeks later and no response from the dev's support email address. Good game, but don't bother with IAPs. Very disappointed.
-Bug Fixed: Game now awards IAP properly. Even if it experiences a crash during the transaction players will now always receive what they paid for!
-Bug Fixed: Items that cost sun coins no longer appear to cost gold.
-Added: Language support for Japanese, Korean, Traditional Chinese, and Russian!
Play BEYOND: Two Souls™ using any device to replace the wireless controller.
