This is an incredible piece of software! Only have one issue- I can't use the AR because my phone doesn't have a built-in compass but another similar piece of software does with a notice of "will not be accurate". Could that be added? Also, maybe an aurora forecast feature? Thank you so much!
Amazing app. However, as of late, I've noticed some unusual battery drain on my xperia xz. Having looked at battery usage, it's saying photopills is taking up 19% of my battery use yet I've not even used the app a few days. I've checked a few times and turned phone off and on a few times and no change. Apart from that 5/5 as it's such a helpful app for photography
This is an amazing app! Excellent support from the team. I had an issue with the sensors - hardware related - and they contacted me on Instagram to help solving the problem. The integration with the calendar is awesome! I now have it full of plans :-D
Thanks for the the stunning tool! If I may, I would like to ask for a flash guide number calculator. I do release that strobes and speedlights are not frequently used by landscape photographers, but such tools would be indispensable for portraiture, because TTL is not widely used for off-camera flashes. Most of the time it is all done manually.
No stickers that I'm aware of, nor can you buy photos, ha ha. Great app to create awesome photos with. I mean truly mind blowing app for photography. Thanks, and hopefully everyone who takes pictures will be using PhotoPill soon.
It's a great app for planning your shoots but I am giving 4 stars because the Point of Interest section is completely useless! When I am scouting a location, I should be able to drop a pin at my current GPS coordinates but this app doesn't allow me to. Instead it wants me to search for a location. My locations often arent marked on a map so they aren't searchable. It's also ridiculously hard to pick up the pin and drop it where you want to mark as the location of interest. Sometimes you can pick it up, other times you end up dragging the map. It also starts at really random locations. I was trying to drop a pin in Santa Clara, but the pin started in Death Valley, of all places...
- Updated to Android 8.0 Oreo.
- Now it's easier to move the pin! Just long press on it to move it to your shooting spot.
