About this app

The qCivic is a code that digitally identifies a house number.
It is therefore, in effect, the digital equivalent of a traditional house number.

ADVANTAGES
With a single app, you can receive notifications about deliveries, visits, specific information, etc.
You can share your qCivic so that someone can reach you. So, instead of your address, you could give the qCivic...
The courier will have to physically come to your address to notify you of the delivery (they won't be able to say that... you weren't there, as they can only ring your qCivic if you're in front of them).
You'll be notified of someone's presence outside your home even if you're not physically there, thus increasing your security.

HOW IT WORKS
You can download the app and use it even without creating your own qCivic; you'll only be able to "ring" the doorbells of the qCivics you find. When you decide to create your own qCivic, you'll be asked to create an account, and the first qCivic is free with only the "doorbell" and text message functionality.

When you connect your house number to the qCivic, simply affix the code assigned to you externally. You can print it yourself or purchase it from us on the website.
This way, anyone who comes to your home and scans the code with the app will be able to send you messages, even if you're not physically inside the building.
For example, a courier notifying you of a delivery, or a friend who's visiting, etc., can "ring" the qCivic with the app and you'll be notified immediately.

In addition to your address, each qCivic also stores the coordinates of the exact location where the code will be affixed. Therefore, it's crucial that the qCivic code is generated at that precise location and not "near" it, as we won't be able to interact with you unless we're within a small radius of your qCivic.

RESIDENTS
Each account can have more than one qCivic. Remember: only the first is free. You can purchase the others in the app.

Since a qCivic is the digital equivalent of a house number, multiple homes may exist within a single house number. Therefore, each home or resident can be added to a single qCivic.

If a qCivic already exists and you simply want to become a resident of that qCivic, simply add yourself to it to appear in the list of residents.
You must specify:
- the name you want to display externally,
- a name for this qCivic of yours (e.g., house, office, etc.),
- the building/staircase, if applicable
- the interior, if applicable

This way, anyone who appears in front of the qCivic and frames it with the app will see, in addition to the address information, your assigned external name.

SERVICES
In addition to people who appear in front of your qCivic and interact with you via the app, you can also enable some services that can send you notifications even if they aren't physically in front of it.

E.g. Your municipality can send you personal or municipality-wide notifications, but couriers can also notify you in advance of an upcoming delivery.
This way, you'll no longer need a separate app for each courier or service, but you can centralize all your information in a single app.

Creating an account will allow you to have:
- the address book of the qCivics you'll ring, which can be accessed even if you don't scan the code
- the history of messages you've sent and to whom
- the list of messages your qCivic receives
- the selection of services you wish to enable to give them the ability to send you notifications

PRIVACY
We are very careful about privacy.
We only store strictly necessary information such as:
- your first and last name,
- your email,
- your address,
- the coordinates of your qCivic
We do not store your location, nor do we track your movement.
The information that will be transferred to third parties will only concern the services you decide to activate.
