Handy for checking 2.4ghz channel interference and some other metrics but wouldn't pick up on active WiFi connections and does not support 5ghz bands.
This is a very handy tool for any IT personnel or PC hobbyist. Easier to use on the fly than Puppy Linux or Kali Linux. I bought a range extender from the company. And this app helped me debug my network topology.
YOU NEED THIS APP Ladies and gents, Once you learn just how crowded your wifi router's channel is with this app, you can also see which channels are free of other users in "the hood". You learn how to change your routers channel and your Skpe Video calls will be superb. Your Android device will speed along the internet so much faster. This app is a great tool. You don't know what you are missing until you make those adjustments.... Woweeee
Good but only half works Using a Nexus 4, this app continues to show 'not connected' even though I am connected to my wifi network. Even if I forget it and try to reconnect through the app, it still wont show it as being connected. As such, the information I get isn't as useful as it could be. I had this issue on my Galaxy S2 before so still no improvement. They also offer no app support site so there is no where to go to find out potential solutions.
Says not connected to wifi - But I am The app has some good features, but on my Galaxy S4, it shows "Status: Not Connected", even though I am currently connected to a wifi network. I turned off wireless and re-enabled on my phone, and restarted the app, but it still says "Not Connected". Might be a bug with newer android OS. I'm currently running 4.3
I tried this on two different devices. (Galaxy Tab S SM-T700 (Exynos Octa (cortex A15, cortex a7)) arm7, and a Keedox media player (allwinner a10-20) arm7) It will not connect to a wifi network or recognize that it is already connected to one. Also, there is no label telling you which network is being monitored on the signal strength meter. Otherwise I really would like to like this app. If these issues are fixed, I will buy it and change the rating. I really like the layout of the screens. They are easy to read. The information is detailed enough to be useful. I have tried several other similar apps, this is the closest to what I need. It is also the easiest to use so far.
