So now you have to click on the pins to see the text. And why am I seeing offensive pins about skins and meat from ppl i don't even follow?! Because the app creators don't know what they're doing. DO NOT GET THE UPDATE: ABSOLUTE TIME WASTING, ad ridden RUBBISH
I HATE this newest update. No Auto rotate, the search option is all messed up, and the image descriptions go away when you open a pin. It's like, in attempting to make the app intuitive, developers underestimated and over simplified controls to the point where the app is unintuitive and useless.
Love Pinterest, Don't like this app The new layout seems unnecessarily confusing to me. It's difficult to see activity (likes/repins) on a given pin when looking through your boards. I also liked that you used to be able to see the users who pinned from you, but now it looks like that's not possible.
It's useful and helps me find inspiration, but the new system is confusing and way too complicated to use. It was easier to see messages and comments from the activity bar and seeing the recommendations on the same bar. If you could go back to how it originally operated and removing the white circles at the bottom right corner, that would be great.
I love the opportunity to search for any product, tutorial, opinion/advisory (educated or not so much) and learn styling tips- for your hair or wardrobe, make-up tips, or even tips on soothing a baby, or weight loss. It does lag and crash quite a bit.
I have tried to look but there is not way to disable the notification icon that hovers above the app and seeing as how it is grouped with my social media and messaging apps, it is extremely frustrating to think I have messages that need attending only to find out that Pinterest just wants to bother me about "Today". Snapchat and Instagram disable the out-of-app notifications completely if you want. It is simple. So I dont know why Pinterest does not. It may seem like a small thing but it really is troublesome if youre not used to it. Ive had it a week an am uninstalling. If pinterest is going to be THAT in-my-face, then I'd rather remove them altogether. I can just Google the things I pin anyways.
