No formal record of the rules has survived from antiquity, so people have tried to reconstruct the game in various ways. It's not even clear that the rules remained the same throughout the long span of Egyptian culture. The rules used for this version of the game are simply one guess among many – they are similar to others you will find in museums, game shops or on the internet, but differ in minor details.
“House rules” are explained in the help area of the game. It may help to think of it as similar to backgammon, since the objective is to move your pieces around the board to the home area and escape before your opponent does this. However, unlike backgammon, both players move in the same direction.
Your AI opponent is called `Sabiya`, which means `child of metal` – I hope you find Sabiya`s various strategies and choices something of a challenge.
This version is provided free (with advert support). A paid-for version without advertisements is also available.

The game is played with twelve pieces, each one representing the sheep and one piece representing the coyote.
The game is normally played between two players, except with this game you have the option to challenge yourself against the coyote (IA) by playing the sheep.
The sheep and coyote are pre-arranged to start the game.
The objective of the game for the sheep:
The ultimate goal of the sheep is to corner the coyote in one of the four corners.
The best practical way to corner the coyote is to move the sheep evenly and balanced across the board.
The sheep should move evenly in a manner where they avoid leaving an empty spot to avoid being jump/eaten by the coyote.
The objective of the game for the coyote:
To avoid being corner by the sheep, this is best done by moving to the best available spot on the board which will allow the coyote to position itself so that it can jump a sheep adjacent to it. The coyote’s jump can only be made if there are available spots on the other side of any of the sheep adjacent to the coyote.
The coyote wins if:
If more than three sheep are jumped (eaten)
The Sheep win if:
If they can corner the coyote in any one of the four corners.
backgammon originally played by the Otomí Natives of Querétaro
Single Player: Test your skills against the computer (AI), with 3 difficulty levels to master
Pass n Play: Play with friends and family in a pass and play fashion
How To Play
In the beginning each player will be given 12 tokens
Each player takes turn to select a piece, and choose where the token will be placed
When one of the players aligns 3 consecutive tokens in a row (horizontally, vertically or diagonally) which is known as a tertiary, he/she must take one token away from the opponent.
If there are multiple tertiary as a result of moving a chip, only one chip can be taken away
Once the players put all the chips on the board, the players start to move their chips in the available spots with the intent of forming a tertiary.
The chips can only be moved in adjacent spots are available, no jumping is allowed.
If one of the players is unable to move any of his/her chips then the opposing player makes the next move
The game continues until one of the players has less than three chips left, where he/she loses the game
